Maybe I am wrong, but I doubt the contract with Alerus Financial makes the Alerus Center put the logos in the turf. My point being, even if it didn't have a corporate naming sponsor, like the Fargodome, you would probably still see "Aurora Center" on the turf....like the Fargdome does now.

Yes, the upgrades for Sioux football in the Alerus are definitely nice. The Murals, The banners, The thingy majiggy that runs around the field on the stands. I just wish they would do more significant renovations to the building. Windows on the West side to match the east...and maybe the south end zone....tile the floor so its not painted concrete....Sheetrock of the "tin." add a "club lounge." I love the outside...they did a heck of a job on the glass facade for the converence center entrance. Two thumbs up! Bison fans like to say attendance is bad cause of the BSA. Could it be the same for the Alerus Center? Don't get me wrong I love the Alerus and am glad its built...I just wanted MORE money spent on it. And wih the first class Canad Inn attached to it (and it becoming a center piece for commercial development around it)...its time to truly make The Alerus a destination.

We can all agree with know what it is. No need for the pissing match....It is a Division I championship. But it is also a subdivision of Division I championship - football championship subdivision. (The only one the NCAA recognizes, because they don't sponsor the BCS). It is the highest football UND plays at and UND players and fans should be proud of what UND has accomplished they they ever win a championship at that level. It took a over a hundred years for UND to win a championship. Let's hope the second doesn't take nearly as long.

I would like to see Big Sky logos too. I am just saying I have my doubt there will be any. Why wasn't there NCC logos on the old turf? In '01 or '00 when the turf was being bought there was virtually none if any talk about switching conferences or moving up to Division I. And we know another thing is almost certain "Alerus Center" will appear on there...just like it is now and just like the Fargodome.

The closest game I predicted with a loss that might be a win I would say is Cal Poly which unfortunately only still gets UND 6 wins....Had drake replaced our first game of the season we would be looking at getting into the playoffs.

The O line is key....Could have Aaron Rogers back there but without great protection it means nothing.
