That would make sense if the other parts of the arena are full, but there not. Its not like the student section was is the only empty parts. I look across to the fifty yard line on the other side and lots of open seats. Its a non issue when there is 7,000 people at the games.

I don't know what more UND could do. They won the first game of the year. Tons of students there and tailgating, music blaring. Then two weeks later with still nice weather. A minimal amount if students tailgating. And about half the number that went to the game as the first.

I think it's safe to assume everyone on the offense in the second half versus Stony Brook wasn't giving a 100% as they only gained 6 yards.

UNDs offense is stuck between a rock and a hard place. I get that. You have an offensive line that isn't very good. Which means UND will have trouble running or passing. UND doesn't have a running back that can consistently get us five yards. UND doesn't have a QB that can consistently hit receivers. So we are left with play calling that will run the clock out limiting the other teams possessions. Hope the running back will eventually break one. And throw in a couple pass plays hoping they will break one.

Yes they did. At least for this game. Funny bubba says he doesn't care about the scoreboard (when he's losing), but the fans can't do the same after a win? UND was one play away from losing against Stony Brook... There is lots to be concerned about. but like many have pointed out we aren't excepted to win this game. So what does UND have to lose?!

People here are saying UNDs offensive philosophy will be "Even if you don't move the ball for first downs, drain the clock as much as you can." A) You won't score any points. So one must ask how do they plan to not play catch up? Have the defense score the points? B) If that is the philosophy when you are winning. You are playing not to lose like Mussman. I guess the genius with this offense is it's 27 straight run plays. Then a 80 yard td pass no one saw coming.

And how do you not play catchup? You have to out score your opponents. Is UND going to rely on its defense to out score MSU so it doesn't have to play catchup? No one is arguing it's ok to play conservative late in the game when your up by two possessions. But it's a different story when the game is tied at 0. And you put all your hope on creating defensive turnovers. That's a formula for failure.

Speedway is a nice lil hidden jewel. They have great lunch specials. Ribs and hash browns under $7.

Stony brook was controlling UNDs offense more than UNDs was controlling stony brooks offense. So that would have been a horrible strategy.

Shouldn't we really be talking about how awesome Stony Brooks defense was as they held UND to five first downs and gave up less yards than how awesome UNDs defense was?!

I'm not sure what it was for. It wasn't the stadium divider in the picture posted above. It was running east west not north south right in front of the north video board. Again not complaining just pointing out. I'm sure it'll be "pulled higher" next game.
