Are you Tim Hennessey? He kept talk about how crazy it was a team didnt get at least a point for reaching OT. And I'm thinking where has this thought been the last ten years. A team has never gotten a point for reaching OT. I'm not sure all these points would ever change a league standings. As your example showed. They are the exact same this season.

I think we are all for setting the bar high and trying to be the best we can be. And that's what it comes down to. UND doing its all to be the best it can be. We just have different opinions on how to go about it.

It's pretty simple. Because someone else did you don't assume its the norm and you should immediately be able to do something too. "Well this person (school) did it" is not a good argument. It's not trying very hard. That's all you are basically saying. The Bison won four championships in FCS. So UND should too because they are "very similar institutional profiles? What's going on at NDSU athletics wise right now? One thing: Mens Basketball. What's going on at UND? They are not exactly the same school. UND is also "very similar institutional profiles" with every school in the Big Sky. Is UND on average finishing in the top half the past two years (the only years UND has been in the big sky IIRC)? Why do you only compare UND to NDSU? Because they are close? Worrying about UND's actual conference mates might be more useful. You know the ones UND has to beat if they wanna go to March Madness.

Not sure why you hate jones but love hakstol? I compare the coaches to the previous coaches of the same teams. I dont want one fired because the Gophers or Bison are doing well. The problem is theres little history to compare to for Jones. He just finished transitioning and plays tougher competition than the previous coaches. Meanwhile, no coach has failed to win a championship at UND for this long of time than Hakstol. (Besides this season) Jones teams have been improving. Hakstol hasnt been back to where he has been (championship game) for a decade (I think). Again im not pro or anti jones. But pointing out he hasnt done enough to get fired (to this point in time). Like Hakstol

Plus its not that hard to make the Frozen Four. Theres only 60 teams of which 16 make the tournament. If Hakstol had to win his conference to make the dance. UND would have been sitting at home. Instead he won two games in a row and was a hero. He finished the season going 3-2.

Is it a bad thing if the rich and powerful use their money to get more rich and powerful? These big time programs can only pay there coach so much. Some are already are on par with the NFL. They can only build so many stadium upgrades. Its good they are giving back to the athletes they are making so much money off of. Its bad for the small guy. The small guy doesnt need to buy a ferrari if he cant afford it. I think the FCS should vote a no for the stipend.
