BC going on the powerplay with about 10 to play. This game just seems so "un-BC". They seem slow and they are missing passes. And they look bigger than usual. I'm also wondering about the ice seeing how the puck has moved at times.

For those of you who can't stand Bucci and Melrose, 740 The Fan is running the game (Westwood One announcers).

Next goal wins?

Why doesn't BC ever make defensive gaffes like that against UND?

2016 Stanley Cup Playoffs Game
The Sicatoka replied to The Sicatoka's topic in Non-collegiate sports
Yup, this year is brute force: Who do you think is going deep. Good luck with that in the west. -
Do not underestimate the Power of the Ovie. His mark is the "infinity" symbol pointing heavens-ward. He wears it on his back and it expresses his power. Only Chuck Norris and the guy who just retired to Mars surpass the Power of the Ovie. More seriously, guys will be dishing him the puck more than usual (if that's possible).

Probably. Probably. No. No other hockey on tonight, eh?

Pick six forwards, four defensemen, and a goalie. I'm changing it up and modifying (simplifying) this year's scoring rules. You get: the total points from all playoff games from all your forwards the total points from all playoff games from all your defensemen the total points from all playoff games from your goalie (hey, it happens) one point per win by your goalie Rosters must be in before puck drop of the first Stanley Cup playoff game.

2015 Stanley Cup Playoffs Game

Yup. It does. I may not be able to get a team together in time (business travel). I just set up a 2016 game (and new, simpler rules). -

Definitely not an expert, but I believe PHI must finish with more points (or if same points more ROW) than BOS to get the wildcard. DET cements the 25th post-season bid in a row with a win tonight. Might be a good game to watch if there's no other hockey on. *ROW - regulation or OT wins, shootouts don't count

Updated: Detroit (93 pts, 39 ROW, with 2 games remaining) at Boston (Thu) at NY Rangers (Sat) Philadelphia (91 points, 36 ROW, with 3 games remaining) at home vs Toronto (Thu) at home vs Pittsburgh (Sat) at NY Islanders (Sun) Boston (91 points, 37 ROW, with 2 games remaining) at home vs Detroit (Thu) at home vs Ottawa (Sat)

Not that long ago it was DET, PHI, and PIT in the "menage a trois" for two playoff spots. Amazing how much PIT picked it up and how BOS has tipped over.

Given that Augie just won the DII title, pretty safe bet he'll be on the short list.

KFGO loses NDSU radio broadcast rights
The Sicatoka replied to fightingsioux4life's topic in Community
Interesting observation over the past couple days: KFGO mentioned UND in the Frozen Four twice in two hours this morning ... and ... mentioned the verbal by the recruit (Tychonick). They'd mentioned the goalie recruit (Karki) last week on Friday(?). I hadn't heard anything about a UND recruit on that station in probably two years. Now, suddenly, KFGO is college hockey aficionado central? What chang .... nevermind.- 116 replies

Before the Big Ten Network moved them, FSN had room for U of M Gopher sports along with what you mention (two pro teams).- 116 replies

KFGO loses NDSU radio broadcast rights

Can I vote about how KFGO should fill their evening programming? I'd love it if KFGO followed either KFYR or 640Toronto: - KFYR runs "Ground Zero with Clyde Lewis" from 9 to midnight on weeknights followed by "Coast to Coast AM" - CFMJ (640 Toronto) runs the previous day's full four hours of "Coast to Coast AM" from 8 to midnight (Central) and then runs the live show after that. CFMJ also runs classic (Art Bell) "Coast to Coast" on weekends. Yes, I am an iHeartRadio user. Why do you ask?- 116 replies

KFGO loses NDSU radio broadcast rights

Thinking out loud here ... KFGO has actually slid in the ratings lately (previous link). I guess not "slid" as much as there's someone catching them. They used to have double the Arbitron number of the next closest. Now The Fox is really close. I'm not sure what the root cause is for KFGO: demographics, format, or programming. It'd be interesting to know how hard "the KFGO family of stations" fought to keep NDSU. They could've easily rebranded 740 The Fan to be "The Bison", yet that's not happening.- 116 replies

KFGO loses NDSU radio broadcast rights

The 1660 AM signal is, in a word, "turrible". Putting NDSU FB on an FM (107.9) will range-limit that signal much more as they get a lot of area coverage out of 790 AM's signal. They'd better not lose 600 AM out of Jamestown as an affiliate (that's the second biggest night footprint in the state). What I do see NDSU getting out of this is what I've accused KFGO, and WDAY before that, of being: all Bison all the time. However, look where 1660 AM was in the last Arbitron book. (Look down, further, further, further .... )- 116 replies

Annual home games with Minnesota and Wisconsin? Think: premium pricing. Like I say to certain other fans in another forum, "How things are today is how they'll always be." Right?
