There's not enough NCAA allowed games to play a full round-robin regular season today, and you want to add teams? NCHC plays 24 RS games; full round-robin would be 28 games (7 opponents times 4 games). This assumes 10 games N/C which is a must for PWR implications.

I don't fear Summit hockey as long as Fenton is Summit commissioner.

In fairness, Cheese was hung out more than once on Saturday by OUR defensive lapses.

You picked up on his word selection also.

RE: Tre' Dempsey's question --> Not enough caffeine to keep pounding the stone? RE: Tom Miller -> Who knew he had a savage streak like that in him? Bravo!

Vancouver? A mess. What are they going to do with Horvat? And their GM has made Bruce a lame duck behind the bench with his public statements. Will Bruce coach out the season or be gone before? Will they go rebuild or retool. And this when the team has Hughes, Petterson, and Boeser*. It's never great when NHL Radio on Sirius spends an hour questioning the moves and statements the GM has made or hasn't made. (They're befuddled how a guy with 2 Cups would made his coach a lame duck.) Detroit? The Larkin problem. Re-sign and you tie up cash to finish the youth movement rebuild; don't and lose the leader. San Jose? They're shopping 65 to get out from under that atrocious deal. They are rebudget/rebuild mode with no toe hold (at least DET has Seider). My view of those three situations? Detroit is best of the three, followed by 'cou, then SJS. But they're better situations than ANA, CBJ, and CHI. *And my post does include a former player, and a reference to one (CHI).

UNI will do that two days after Duke does it.

Wasn't it Scott Swygman (RIP) who always pondered "Jabba the Goalie"? -

I'm no goalie expert (paging @Wilbur) but I'm not sure DeRidder was a top 3 portal goalie spring of 2022. I see Basse at SCSU and Kucharski (17-7-3 at AIC) at UNO as guys I was more interested in. And those two come after TJ Semptimphelter (NE'n to ASU). -
Sidorski's been playing top four minutes most of the season. So has Moore. Farmer's been the five. 2 and 4 shouldn't have felt "extra" minutes.

So based on where the team is getting shots from they should be 19-4. So why aren't they going in? Do we have bad shooting skills? -

Will the proposed alternate college hockey tournament be based on xG? -
The Internet is not large enough.

He looked like someone with the yips and a sand wedge.

Those around me thought there was something wrong with Cheese late and that he should've been pulled. Heck, DeRidder was stretching during one of the late third breaks. They were sure he was going in.

I was watching the D Saturday. I only came up with one UND defenseman that did NOT make an unforced error: 15. The rest all either made a tape pass to the other team or iced the puck unnecessarily or worse.

Love the promo on NHL Radio on SiriuxXM: Not sure who is talking but says he was in probably 40 closed door meetings as a pro and only one triggered any real change.

Culture means a lot of things, even to cottage cheese. What I see is a lack of leadership. Leaders see problems and root them out.
-
Trying to stick-handle your way through four defenders screams "team play" doesn't it?
-
Thinking about it, UND has the same problem in football: Our head coach still coaches like his 1980s mentor. The game has changed.
-
Eades is the same as Berry and Sandy. They are legacy-1980s hockey guys. Can we jump into this century, when speed and skill and team defense began to be emphasized over dump and grind. See: Jon Cooper.

Any coincidence that time may have finally caught up with two guys that played under Gino and coached under Blais? Any chance the game has passed their style of play by finally? Asking for David Carle. No. Wait. He doesn't care.

I know what GFH reported. I've observed that NTDP players believe, right or wrong, they're ready to jump right to college. Some are; some are not.
