    Berry and Jackson are Gino disciples and that is a slow game style that no longer works against speed systems like DU and WMU. Karl would bring an update style and speed (Blais disciple, worked in TBL system) to the game. And the pipeline has guys he could bring in as assistants: Smaby, St Clair, Chyzyk Bottom line: We need to drop a decade plus from the mindset of the HC in hockey (and football for that matter) and get to a modern game style.

    The skillset to coach is not the same to be AD. Some people may have both, but they are not the same.

    2, 3, and 7 are out of eligibility. 25 will sign (I'd be shocked otherwise). That's half. 15 has a Covid year left; will he use it? 6 is a curious situation. 4 and 24 are the other two. The D is more question than answer.

    Where's the data to compare say 2015-2018 to say 2020-2023? Is this a real uptick or are we just paying more attention (recency bias)?

    Given they've posted externally for a RB coach, but haven't posted externally for a DC (so far) I'd say that's a "tell" as to an internal hire.

    Beulah is too big. MSP::GFK --> factor of 50 GFK::Beulah --> factor of 25 GFK::Tioga or Cando --> factor of 50 What this is exposing is why UND needs to keep getting top end prairie province kids: GFK feels comfortable and 'big' to them for the most part. And WPG should always be a focus because of simple proximity.

    DL getting home shouldn't be an issue based on present projected storm track. Davies could be a whole other matter. But as always with ND weather, that may be different in five minutes.

    You being correct (and thinking more I believe you are) may make the point all the more. Look at the names out there in 2016 and the (I'll be nice and say) mediocre skill level. Other than the CBS line, who would've played for DU last weekend?

    I thought that in-season "tournament" was allowed to play by post-season OT rules.

    Even if 28 staying helps keep 15? 15 staying is key for the defense.

    This is part of the change to a speed game that has happened at DU and WMU. The closest thing we've had to a scoring third line was a 2016 "heavy" line that happened to be quick (not fast) and have a little scoring touch.
