Many college teams are scheduling into 2018, 2019, and 2020 right now. Seriously. Finding something for 9 months from now is near impossible when teams are scheduling for 9 years from now.

NDSU folks like to say UND would never get into a conference because it was "too isolated". What never made sense to me is that UND and NDSU are 75 miles (not 750 miles) apart. If one is isolated, so is the other by the nature of ... 75 miles apart. Now someone has pointed this out to them and they are devastated. {shrug} Oh well ...

Was the ad cheesy? Yes. Was it horrific and degrading to {insert sub-category from Cabal of Victimhood here}? Uh, no, other than maybe to Vikings. (They threw something at him!) I communicated with a guy who has a daughter attending UND. His first reaction after watching the ad was not, "Holy cow! I've got to get her out of there! She's being educated by a Viking professor! The Vikings mascot might be hitting on her! The Vikings are having a terrible season! What if she marries the Vikings mascot? How could I ever live that down?"

To be considered an alumnus you only have had to have matriculated, not graduated.

I see a team that learned how to win and built some confidence in its abilities. Hopefully the coaching staff did the same. They'll need that and more in the Big Sky.

No, the day was August 5, 2005. In reality, FSU, Utah, and CMU are on life-support, dangling by the string called "the whims of tribal politics". Or worse, dangling by the string called "what will the NCAA do next?" (aka the whims of academia-minded groupthinkers). The NCAA could decide to drop the "exception policy" tomorrow and they'd be stuck. As much as this feels terrible, I'd rather deal with it now instead of continually be swingin' in the wind on a string.

I think UND picked their poison and decided to focus on 8, not the brother 13. It wasn't good on the old GI tract to watch 13 do the damage, but UND survived it ... twice.
