Or worse, they view it as High School 2.0.

As long as Dell keeps playing this way I'd expect to see him for UNO and CC. But I'd be surprised to not see Eidsness during the eight-game stretch that follows that (UAA, SCSU, BSU, MTU).

Not just the word "Sioux" but that logo (which is as American Indian related as it can get) puts UND on the NCAA list. To keep that logo, just like the name, takes two tribes.

Stephen King's writings look amateurish compared to this flood forecast.

These are probably the closed odds in the entire thread.

Watch it. The "North Dakota Yoda" gig is mine and mine only.

You're missing some zeros on Cavalry. It should be 5000000:1. Same for Warriors.

UND vs. Omaha in Winnipeg - Jan. 7, 2012
The Sicatoka replied to MissSioux85's topic in Men's Hockey
Pay with two-nies. It'll take half as many. -
Really? Gerry G. had, at one time, planned to put a technology commercialization center on that site.

[my best PA announcer-guy voice] ... johndahl, unassisted, at 10:25, ... that's johndahl, all alone, at ten twenty-five ... [/my best PA announcer-guy voice] And one more thing about that bolded portion: When Dr. Kelley first came into 300 Twamley he made a statement about how he expected more collaboration between all UND entities (especially the big three: EERC, Med, Aero). Gerry G. publicly skoffed at the notion. Not a great start. And it seems that Gerry (still?) thinks he's bigger than UND as a whole as he hasn't come out against this. Closing thought: Do we really want all the NDUS campuses micromanaged at this level from the Legislature?
-
Why not expand EERC to the ... EAST! They already have authority and control over that space. There were plans drawn at one time for EERC to use that space. Why not?

I'm not sure what is a larger waste of time: Worry about fan Hobey voting or Worry about Yale ranked #1. Epic Double Fail.

Michaels? Never. He's a huge NDSU homer, at least based on his past days in Fargo radio. (He's a former NDSU baseball player.)

Would former ND Gov. and US Ag Sec. Ed Schafer consider a run? Conrad and Dan Hammer both in a day ...
-
When KFGO made its (questionably enacted) move to Bison Athletics I wondered what the impact on Hammer would be because Scott Miller came along with Bison Athletics. I didn't figure Radio FM would keep Hammer as sports director and Miller as the Bison broadcaster both on staff. Good luck to Hammer in his new (old) job.

I sure hope they have a plan on how to fill out a schedule in a six-team BTHC if they don't plan on going on the road.

He goes to bed every night hoping, praying, that some day he can claim he tore down something with Ralph's name on it. That'd make him a demi-god amongst his circle of friends. But the rest of us will remember his recent run-ins with the law involving (a) the Manvel Fire Department and (b) allogations of spousal abuse.
-
And your scenario would be terrible for all teams involved, including Minnesota and Wisconsin. The largest attendances in all three rinks involve UND, UM, and UW. You don't build something up by tearing something else down. UND FB and BB will build on their own. There's no need to speculate on (or even sound like you'd relish) a possible demise of the WCHA.

The athletic department accountants blush and nod 'yes'.

Bill to ban alcohol sales at college sporting events
The Sicatoka replied to dmksioux's topic in Community
Well ... Some in the legislature are trying to make it illegal to smoke in your own car if someone under age 13 is in the car also. On the alcohol angle the next step wouldn't be in front of a minor in your own home but it would probably be in front of a minor in a public restaurant. Then they'd go after the "in the home" angle. Welcome to the Nanny State. -
Curiouser and curiouser. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/41044460/ns/local_news-fargo_nd/ Welcome to Wonderland.
-
Are we sure this isn't more about the Legislature trying to take back some of the power given via the Roundtable on Higher Ed to the ND State Board of Higher Education?
-
Well that answers that now doesn't it.

Are you sure? I'm no attorney, but here's what I found on the ND AG's website and it doesn't seem to go quite that far: http://www.ag.nd.gov/NCAA/MemorandumDecision&Order-PreliminaryInjunction.pdf (page 19 of 21) What's really sad is that the judge that wrote that injunction decision threw UND a bone about how to fight and win this on page 13:
