Part of JMU at NDSU will come down to whether or not one side can get up two scores and really start to dictate pace. If it's NDSU, I don't seem JMU having comeback offense. If it's JMU, they'll grind the clock and it'll put pressure onto that bad turf-toe of the NDSU QB as NDSU will be forced to throw.

What happened? UND tie and then WIU hit 3, or classic BB where 0:19 seconds takes 30 minutes and 20 free throws.

EKU would seem to be the better matchup for NDSU. EKU seems "lighter" and would probably be easier to push around and run against.

What were they doing? Being servicable to solid role players. Just like guys like Ryan Martens, or Tom Benson, or Mike LaMoine, or Mario Lamoureux (some legacies, some not). UND's team style needs those guys. And if you can get them to come in with little to no scholarship impact, isn't that a good thing?

Anybody can say anything. To my point that someone mentioned: The only feasible way the name could be saved is if the Tribes (SL and SR) restore it. Do I expect that to happen? I'm not holding my breath.

Flame logo? Unique moniker? The Torch. The UND Torch. The North Dakota Torch.

If they want to use the flame logo for a while, and still would like UND to be unique in being the only one to use a moniker ... The UND ... Torch.

Who? Dr. Kelley? He's. Doing. His. Job. (I won't say well because he surely hasn't been leading from the front.) What are his options? Things UND already has trademarked. What are those? The interlocked ND (with words "North Dakota" nearby) or the UND flame logo.

Straight up raw numbers comparisons would be wrong as we know there is a base difference there. Scaled comparisons (post season to regular season average) would be the better way to look at the question, "Are X's fans coming out for post-season games in comparison to their regular season games."

I look at that bracket, and honestly, they could go down to 8 teams this year ... I see Montana State surprising SHSU and then a rematch with the Griz (who slip past UNI because of the outdoor elements). I see Georgia Southern and App State in an epic game with the winner facing NDSU (who dispatched Towson).

When the uniforms are so "trendy" that you can't tell who is playing some sort of limit has probably been reached. I will say this: I like the "flat" (no gloss) black helmet that Rutgers rolled out. I think OkSU has one like that also.

Scheduling for 10 months from now is not a easy thing. UND has games set for 2018. Yes, half a decade plus away. Most teams have their 2012 schedules set already. And, folks, it takes two parties to schedule a game. Lots of things go into it: travel, money, open dates, reasonable matchups, money, both sides being willing to play the opponent {cough-moniker-cough}, money, post-season ramifications, money, ...

Breaks are what you make of them.
