  1. "Um, he's sick. My best friend's sister's boyfriend's brother's girlfriend heard from this guy who knows this kid who's going with the girl who saw Ferris pass out at 31 Flavors last night. I guess it's pretty serious." -- Simone
  2. April 22. But does that work for everyone involved? http://plainsdaily.com/entry/und_ncaa_meeting_set_for_april_22nd/
  3. Here's to hoping the UM-Duluth team is focused on North Dakota just like their fans are. Signed, The Notre Dame Fighting Irish
  4. Hey Cardinal, Federal Communications Commission Consumer & Governmental Affairs Bureau Consumer Complaints 445 12th Street, SW Washington, D.C. 20554 or http://esupport.fcc.gov/complaints.htm I sure hope the new kinder gentler FCC doesn't decide you folks had a "wardrobe malfunction" today.
  5. It may be the 2010 manual, but I expect not much has changed: I don't see the other 12 (of the 16 in post season) getting tickets to the Frozen Four in that. All I see are the semifinalists (the Frozen Four) getting rights to 600 tickets per institution. Source: http://fs.ncaa.org/Docs/champ_handbooks/ice_hockey/2010/10_1_m_icehockey.pdf , Section titled "Tickets", page 24.
  6. Dude, you can't give out what you don't have. UND only got 600 tickets from the NCAA.
  7. OK, so the University of Southern California isn't really "regional" (unless you consider Oxford and India Institute of Technology "not regional"), but here's something that can happen at USC in March, but not at UND. Brrrrr .... cold. Be careful! Link is probably PG-13. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1371313/USC-officials-appalled-fratboy-caught-having-sex-girl-roof-hundreds.html Favorite quote from the article: A member, ... indeed. And that's the news from Southern Cal ... {insert "Trojans" joke here}
  8. Pointing that out is setting yourself up to hear otherwise, "ira".
  9. Yes, the ticket allotment to the schools are only to the four participating schools. And in the past, not many folks could go to Columbus, Milwaukee, St. Louis, or Denver (for example). In this case, St. Paul, the demands on Fighting Sioux Club would be mammoth. I've always gotten tickets from FSC in the past. This year, I honestly expected I would not because many high level FSC members that didn't request in the past would this year given the relatively short drive.
  10. The lyrics go: Hey, those hats are so ugly Hey, yes they are real ugly Hey! Hey! The ugly hats Oh please send them away ... Hey, it's called maize not yellow Hey, they don't call it yellow Hey, Hey, they call it maize So they don't have yellow pants.* *And you know how you get yellow pants: You pee down your leg.
  11. I hope to hear it just as many times as I hope to hear the Minnesota "spelling bee" Rouser at a hockey game: Six. Just six; specifically, to start and end each period. No more.
  12. This NDSU event will be April 8 so most of us will be focused on an NCAA championship weekend in St. Paul and won't be able to attend, ... not that there's anything wrong with that </Seinfeld reference>. http://www.inforum.com/event/article/id/314130/

  15. I'm not saying it is right or wrong. I'm saying it's the reality of the situation. Bills have to be paid.
  16. Why do FCS teams play DIIs? To get the second and third team guys some game reps in a lower-pressure situation.
  17. I predict what happened to all the #1 and #2 in the NCAA MBB tournament will repeat itself here.
  18. Are there expenses? Does someone have to pay them? Will NDAHA pay them? Well, the answers to the above are yes, yes, and no. So if NDAHA can fill a roster with mommy and daddy picking up the tab, that's what they'll do. Daryl and John said it best when they said, " ... you can rely on the old man's money, you can rely on the old man's money ... "
  19. There is one advantage to a known host site: People can plan ahead.
  20. They are primed for a Title IX lawsuit unless they start doing some "gender equity" moves.
  21. Uh, are you sure you want the national media in on this? History says that they get only about 20% of the story right, and that's normally the 20% that fits their agenda.
  22. College Athletics in the NCAA: It's all about the student-athletes Benjamins. If you didn't know that before now, you are naive.
  23. I guarantee you August 15 is circled on a calendar in Indianapolis, Indiana.
  24. And with that the casket is closed on UNO football and wrestling.
  25. If that day comes, any president or AD (no matter the person) will need someone to come in on the white horse wearing the white hat (with saddlebags full of fat stacks of cash).
