"What's in a name? that which we call a rose By any other name would smell as sweet;" -- from Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet What's that mean? What matters is what something is, not what it is called. Substance does not come from mere words.

No, Fetch and DaveK are just having trouble moving through the stages of the Kubler-Ross theory. What's that? The Kubler-Ross model, commonly called the Five Stages of Grief and known by the DABDA acronym, is something that we all go through when we experience a deep emotional loss. I moved though that from 2000 to 2007. When the settlement agreement came, I moved to acceptance because resolution would come one way or another.
-
I can make DaveK's and Fetch's heads explode in one sentence: Just like Ralph Engelstad, Federal Judge Ralph R. Erickson is a UND graduate from Thief River Falls, MN.
-
As I heard a wise man say many years ago, "Ain't no such thing as sorta dead or kinda pregnant." Under NCAA sanctions you're dead.
-
I'm not holding my breath waiting for that.
-
Looking at the back and forth between 82 and DaveK in posts 192 to 200 in this thread I can state one thing with great assurity: I am thankful I am not a second grade teacher so that I never have to deal with DaveK's kids. Apparently they have a master of throwing "I didn't get my way" temper tantrums teaching them the art of it at home.

No, not "slightly pregnant". More like "mostly dead".

Now C-USA makes another move: http://collegesports...e-old-dominion/ http://content.usatoday.com/communities/campusrivalry/post/2012/05/conference-usa-expansion-six-schools/1 UNC-Charlotte will add football; Old Dominion has been playing FCS but only since 2010.

That's the definition. It's referred to by the NCAA (and Minnesota, Iowa, and Wisconsin) as "Best Practices" scheduling policy.
-
Moorhead is Minnesota State University - Moorhead ==> MnSCU. MnSCU stands for Minnesota State College and University System.
-
The U of Minnesota system is the campuses in the Twin Cities, Duluth, Morris, and Crookston. The MnSCU system is Mankato, St. Cloud, Bemidji, and probably a few others I'm forgetting. I don't know the MnSCU policy, but with SCSU in that group I can guess what they'll push for.

From the Twitter feed of the UND SID:
-
I'm guessing he has some of those numbers in his phone already. (Remember where Faison came from.)
-
Here's the category of folks many are forgetting: "Do you want to end this?" "Yes. I'm tired of it. It's gone on too long." "So vote yes on Measure 4."

The first stop on the statewide tour is complete: http://www.inforum.com/event/article/id/359369/ "It's not about preference anymore," O'Keefe said. "It's about the price (UND) will pay if we are forced to keep the nickname." O'Keefe said he had "the unanimous support" of the association's board: http://www.undfoundation.org/Page.aspx?pid=1384 By O'Keefe's statement there's two more letterwinners: Steve Burian and Marc Chorney

You just found out about gambling in Rick's Cafe too, right?

Going on around the state today ... http://www.grandfork...icle/id/235529/ Tim O'Keefe, executive vice-president of UND Alumni Association and Foundation, former UND mens hockey letterwinner Rick Bergum, president, UND Foundation Al Olson, former Governor of North Dakota and UND alumnus Jim Kleinsasser, UND football letterwinner Sheri Kleinsasser Stockmoe, UND WBB letterwinner Dave Hakstol, UND mens hockey letterwinner and current mens hockey coach Kylie Oversen, current student body president at UND Dale Lennon, UND letterwinner and former head football coach The list grows, and it's people that have unquestionable ties to the University of North Dakota, people that can't be "bought" (as some claim Hakstol was) or manipulated (as some claim Dr. Kelley and the ND SBoHE is doing). It's people who are connected. It's people who know how to make things happen in the world, but who also see that the NCAA won't budge and know when it's time to cut the losses. So, whom to believe: fans with nothing more than a love of a logo, who'd be willing to burn down UND for two words, like Fetch and DaveK, or UND lettermen, graduates, and donors, like Tim O'Keefe and Jim Kleinsasser.

Now that there is funny given that Ovie was sixth in TOI for the Caps forwards last night. (Former Seawolf Jay Beagle was first with 2.5 times the minutes of Ovie.) Guaranteed ice time indeed. (Insert Dale Hunter's laughing here.)

Again with the "how it was when I first saw it is how it should always be" stuff? At least you're consistent. PS - Get rid of your computer and go back to your typewriter from "... the '70s and '80s, they had it figured out back then."
-
There are a lot of things in this world I don't like, that I disagree with fundamentally, but that I have to accept because the alternative would be more devastating to me than acceptance.

Can I loan you a pair of pliers to get that hook out of your mouth? Was the minnow on it tasty?

How much would a left-handed QB affect the running game? I know it'll affect the pass protection packages.

Did someone say Idaho? http://idaho.scout.com/2/1182373.html

Fetch, go back and read some of Chewey's more recent (since SL's day in court about 10 days ago) responses. He seems far more measured, far less bombastic (not saying he was all that bombastic before), since the hearing before Judge Erickson. You have to ask yourself ... "Why?"
