sioux rube
I'd rather see him centering Duncan and Oshie.
AZSIOUX
I'd rather see him centering Duncan and Oshie. and the blues could have had that potentially
AZSIOUX
Have the Blues made arrangements to sign Duncan next spring, or would that be considered tampering? If they don't have a tentative deal I think he's still fair game to the entire NHL. I know the Blues have had an eye on him, but I'm just not sure exactly what the deal is. no, of course they cant do that for obvious reasons. my point is they made strong efforts to jump on him first as he chose to go th their prospect camp over a few others and that speaks volumes. ill bet you right now they have the inside track on him and it doesnt hurt that tj will be there along with chris porter. this doesnt mean i think duncs will be in the nhl right away but they have been and were impressed with him at the camp. larsensa
If you are bored and want to hear Toews speak I noticed that he is one of two featured pop-ups when you mouse over the For Season Tickets box at http://blackhawks.nhl.com/index.html. He isn't much of an actor as he seemed to have a hard time reading his cue cards! :-) If Jack Skille or Patrick Cane show up when you mouse over, hit the refresh button and mouse over it again and Toews will show up. redwing77
Jack Skille is going to be lucky to make the AHL team from what I have read... He'll make the AHL team. I just think Chicago is going to be surprised at what they get from him though. I don't see him being a prolific scorer. I see him being a good checking forward with a higher than usual offensive upside. In any case, I wouldn't be surprised if he has a similar AHL experience to Kris Chucko. I'd say he's more in the range of a 15-25 goals/year forward. Kane and Toews could easily get over 30.

I notice on the Blackhawks website they have a poll: Which of these rookies would you most like to see on the opening night roster? - RW Mike Blunden - C Dave Bolland - RW Troy Brouwer - RW Jack Skille It's nice to see that they don't even need to include Toews on that list! There isn't one of those guys that even comes close to Johnny, as a player or as a person. We were very fortunate that we were able to have him here for two years. A simple oversight I'm sure as Johnny would easily be the overwhelming favorite in that survey.
Big A HG
That isn't a poll as to which rookie is best. Kane and Toews are locks for the lineup. They are asking which rookie that isn't for sure going to be in the lineup do you want to see on it.
AZSIOUX
yup, jon will be on one of the top 2 lines for sure, no need to be in that poll

THETRIOUXPER
I agree but it don't matter what we think. I here ya. I asked Johnny about it the last time I talked to him, he said "believe me, I will miss it more than you could ever imagine" or something to that effect. He's a great kid, and very sincere. There going to love him in Chicago.

I understand that they didn't need to put him on there because he is a lock. That was my point...
