I'm starting to wonder if Eidsness' stats in the AJHL is going to build up a hype that he may not be able to live up to (at least his freshman year).

Grieco came in highly lauded and he got nothing from the fans. He lost two bad games and was then written off. I wonder what it will be like after Eidsness loses a game while in a Sioux uniform...especially if it happens against a team that some posters feel are "patsies."

first off grieco didnt come in playing a lot, hell he barley played. big difference

grieco got stuck behind phil with no chance on playing much this year at all, the only reason he really played last year is because phil got hurt. eidsness is coming in and will be starting to begin the year im guessing and then you go from there on how he does. there will also be another goalie probably coming in as well

i dont know why its a concern of what fans with think of a goalie that isnt even here yet.

Grieco's stats were not all that newsworthy. Solid only.

I sure wish we were recruiting a goalie who was average so we had no expectations...

You're worrying about a goalie that won't even suit up for the Sioux for another 9 months? :D

He'll lose games, but I will bet that he will win us more. He's a quality goalie, and a better recruiting "get" than Greico was. I don't have any high expectations for the kid coming in as a freshman...he'll be thrown right in there with Phil gone, but I bet he will do just fine splitting time with Walski until one of them starts to get into a rhythm.

I would love for him to turn out like Bachmann (Turner Overdrive) from CC, who's had a monster frosh year so far, but if he doesn't play like that right out of the gate I won't worry.

Before UND: Grieco spent the 2005-06 season with the Wellington Dukes of the Ontario Provincial Junior "A" League ... He posted a 28-10-0 overall record in 38 games, with five shutouts ... He had a 2.55 goals against average and .904 save percentage in all games, including the playoffs ... He helped lead his team to a third-place finish in the OPJHL

Bruneteau was still out of the lineup last night for Des Moines, with the break that is over a month he has been out of the lineup (give or take). Does anyone know if its still the same concussion or if there is something else up. I hope he is alright and can get back onto the ice.

Still concussion related. He hasn't played since he got knocked out by Conboy.

Pretty dumb for Bruneteau to get in a fight like that. I have not been too impressed with his play in the USHL and don't expect him to have much of an impact next year.

i disagree, he fought a guy he knew i believe and got knocked the fk out. if he runs aways then we call him a pussy and say we dont need players like that coming to UND :D we have no clue what he will do next year but he may be a hell of a college player.

Anybody else surprised at where David Toews is at? I thought he would be much higher than that.

That is surprising, especially with how he's dominated at SSM this year.

Maybe that will be good for the Sioux if he's not drafted in the 1st round...he might stick around for his JR season then. ;)

If we want to add size/grit, he would be a great addition.

Has anyone seen him play? I wonder if after the Budish decision he might be next in line for that spot (which is moot since Budish is coming here). He plays with Fink in Waterloo which isn't too far from me so I might have to road trip some night.
