  1. I don't think it's a jump. ISS has had him that high all year and uh.....must not have seen him play recently.
  2. I think it was a good goal because it wasn't a high stick, but that's absolutely incorrect about the rule. The standard is possession of the puck for a washout, and there's no way Lindgren has possession of the puck. They wouldn't wave off a goal on a delayed penalty because it tipped off the goalies pads before it went in either.
  3. Who is flying in for a weekend hockey tournament on a Tuesday?
  4. Yes, if you want to spend an extra $100, there is one flight from Denver to Sioux Falls that leaves Denver at 10pm at night and lands at 12:30am on a Thursday. I'm sure Denver/CC fans will be lining up for that option.
  5. Denver maybe technically be closer to Sioux Falls if you're looking on a map, but Denver to Sioux Falls isn't a driveable distance, and any flight from Denver to Sioux Falls, aside from being crazy expensive, goes through Minneapolis anyway.
  6. His dad was a Gopher, FWIW.
  7. That system does exist. College hockey just doesn't participate in it.
  8. With the conference break-up, odds are pretty good the fourth team invited is going to be a Michigan team for the foreseeable future.
  9. What does Brad Berry bring to the table that Joe Cirella in SSM doesn't?
  10. There were two different types of tenders this year: Futures tender--These were for players born in 1998. Any team can sign up to two Futures tenders, and have to give up a draft choice in the top two rounds to do so. The player is they sign is automatically on the team and has to dress in 50% of his teams' games or that team loses his rights. Expansion tender-Madison and Bloomington each got five tenders to start their team prior to the draft. Those players aren't necessarily guaranteed a spot, nor is there any provision for how much they have to play. Bloomington traded one of their five to Fargo for Zach Yon.
  11. Steve Wagner played in the NHL, Joe Stejskal played in the AHL. Grant Clafton never had much of a pro career, but was decent at SCSU.
  12. Green Bay still has a shot at making the playoffs. They could still add him if Green Bay's season ends before the tournament.
  13. There was no way Toews was ever in danger of not making a Canadian national team. He was too good. But it was suggested to him that his younger brother's chances of making a national team would be better if Jonathan signed with the CHL. Hakstol doesn't have the resume to coach Team Canada at the World Juniors. You have to go back a ways to find a coach that doesn't have NHL, or at least AHL, head coaching experience.
  14. Doubtful. A big college hockey crowd on NBC Sports Network draws maybe 150,000 viewers, and NBCSN has a much larger potential audience. If there is a difference in the number of viewers between CBSSN and FCS, you're talking about maybe a couple thousand either way, which is pretty insignificant. The NCHC isn't making any money on their TV deal, and it wouldn't be a huge surprise if the schools were actually paying in to get on TV.
  15. Yes. Except not the size part.
