UNO hockey players arrested at Bluffs casino

Two University of Nebraska at Omaha hockey players were arrested for public intoxication Sunday at Harrah's Council Bluffs Casino.
According to police reports, when officers confronted Henderson, he reportedly told police, "I am a hockey player. I'll get out of this." The report also indicates that he told officers: "I know my rights. I am a criminal justice major."

2 UNO hockey players suspended for season

Inside the police car, the report said, Henderson began to head butt the cage and yell "I play for the Mavs. You can't (expletive) with me."

It will-in more trouble than if he would have just kept his trap shut.

Cops love to hear I am a criminal justice major, espcially when your getting pulled over for a DWI/DUI/OUI. In this case the kids should of just kept their big mouths shut, because they would probably still be on the team. I wonder if they end up on BAD boyz over at lets go du?

I didn't find this funny at all. While he was intoxicated the student athlete in question spouted off exactly how he feels about himself and his standing in his community. If a hockey player at UNO can have such an inflated ego regarding his standing in the world can you imagine what some of the players at the traditional hockey powerhouses must think. I suspect many of them begin to believe they are above the law to a certain degree. Most of the fans are treating these players like professionals and their heroes, so not much wonder the UMTC players who frequent Blarneys saw their freebies as a natural entitlement. Some promising pro hockey careers have ended prematurely when young players have failed to mentally adjust to the fame and extra attention. I am dating myself again but the best example of all time was Derek Sanderson of the Bruins. Google his name if you are under forty to see what could have been.

LOL, Entitlement Hockey. No kidding UNO isn't considered a power house. Yikes. Thank God we aren't reading this kind of BS from the UND boys, or at least none has been reported.

Yes, it could be much worse.

USC K was drunk when he fell off cliff

Toxicological report finds Mario Danelo had 0.23 BAL

Southern California kicker Mario Danelo was drunk when he plunged over a cliff to his death, but the coroner's office Monday was unable to say why he fell.

A toxicological report accompanying Danelo's autopsy report found he had 0.23 blood-alcohol level, nearly three times the legal limit in California. No drugs were detected in his body, the report said.

See "Mitigating Factor": Millard's statement to the arresting officer in the hotel fracas--"My arms are more powerful than your guns"--remains one of the most memorable utterances in Vikings history.

Thanks. Now I remember the name. I was trying to think of a hockey player when I read his name the first time.
