ScottM
"I know my rights. I am a criminal justice major." Classic. Good thing the cop's MACE didn't "accidentally" discharge.

Goon
It will-in more trouble than if he would have just kept his trap shut. Cops love to hear I am a criminal justice major, espcially when your getting pulled over for a DWI/DUI/OUI. In this case the kids should of just kept their big mouths shut, because they would probably still be on the team. I wonder if they end up on BAD boyz over at lets go du? siouxguyinstpaul
ok - good reference as our boys were cited for being in an establishment that served alcohol and not for drinking it let alone public intoxication - as I mentioned earlier - so perhaps the DUI,DWI and binge drinking references can be dropped from that old thread. dagies
Wow, I can't imagine the humiliation for the players when they sober up and read this stuff. I can't imagine how unmerciful these boards would be if our boys pulled out that kind of stuff.

Sioux_Hab-it
I didn't find this funny at all. While he was intoxicated the student athlete in question spouted off exactly how he feels about himself and his standing in his community. If a hockey player at UNO can have such an inflated ego regarding his standing in the world can you imagine what some of the players at the traditional hockey powerhouses must think. I suspect many of them begin to believe they are above the law to a certain degree. Most of the fans are treating these players like professionals and their heroes, so not much wonder the UMTC players who frequent Blarneys saw their freebies as a natural entitlement. Some promising pro hockey careers have ended prematurely when young players have failed to mentally adjust to the fame and extra attention. I am dating myself again but the best example of all time was Derek Sanderson of the Bruins. Google his name if you are under forty to see what could have been. No kidding UNO isn't considered a power house. Yikes. Thank God we aren't reading this kind of BS from the UND boys, or at least none has been reported.
