They played BC there for the "College Hockey Showdown" is 1016

Ah yes, 1016.  I believe the Danish prince Cnut conquered England then as well.

Two centuries to the Magna Carta.

Yeah, Braveheart wasn't even on the horizon yet.

The saga continues. I'd read the comments but I can't be bothered to create an x account

Sounds like the men’s hockey base doesn’t like her and Alain can’t except he was a “mid” coach. When your other sports are winning but the men’s team isn’t, that’s not a AD problem that’s a coaching problem. “She’s a toxic leader” no she’s holding you accountable and you don’t like it.

The Colgate this was over blown a bit and she did apologize for it.

Yale hockey, it was good knowing you …

For how long they have had a team, going back to 1895-96, they have made only 8 NCAA tournaments.

Fun Fact: there was an Ivy League 1933-34 to 1960-61.

NCHC on ESPN+ would also mean on TSN+. That better be the next move

This…I’m sick of watching HE and ECAC games. If they can do it so can we.

As time moves on, that 2013 natty just gets weirder and weirder. At the time I was a little surprised but at this point I’m just bewildered. Talk about taking advantage when you had a glimmer of hope. Thinking of the scary good teams of college hockey the last 20 years that didn’t with a natty yet somehow Yale did it with a decent team.

They were good for a decade there, won the Ivy championship 7 out of 10 years and made the tournament 6 out of 8.

Yale is better in sports where there's little or no pro opportunity afterwards so the degree itself is the money maker. Maybe they don't get the leeway on athletic admissions that other top schools seem to have.

Admissions and not having the same hockey pedigree as Harvard. Southwestern and South Central Connecticut are hockey hotbeds so location shouldn't be the issue in theory.
