Wish they could have landed Wiebusch but Lindberg is a nice add. An upgrade from any of the three forwards that portalled out, in my opinion. Good size still, but better speed than any of them.

I don't know what you technically can and cannot do in terms of contacting the players themselves, but coaches are in regular contact with players' agents about moves like this.

If it ends up being Lindberg and Magnussen, those are two good replacements for the Littler and Klee departures. Then it’d be great to get two CHL high enders to complete the forward group.

Yep. Lindberg and Magnussen are good pieces, but we will need a little more high-end scoring punch from our CHL adds

It’s not allowed but it happens. How do you think we got Rickwood last year?

I honestly don’t know how the sausage gets made, that’s why I was asking but I suspected that’s the case-it’s a free for all and I’m sure Mayotte, like all other coaches, isn’t sitting on the sidelines, waiting for players to contact him either.

Heard Carels verbally committed but obviously no announcement yet. Boumedine is terrible. UND would never touch him imo

His instagram follows outside of BU are: UND, Ohio State, Minnesota State, and Michigan. Winnipeg Jets pick if that means anything. Follows and drafted team location do not mean anything, imo. I would support it if UND got him but I wouldn’t really care if he went elsewhere. Carels would be the preference.

If a star player is portalling out, a coach would be wise to step back & do his due diligence before pursuing him; because said star player may have been a factor in why his old team didn't do very well (ie, not very teachable, lacks motivation, entitled, etc). Pandolfo said something to the effect that he couldn't connect with his players last year; and if a coach unknowingly brings in a player who doesn't mesh well with the new staff or players, that's the equivalent of throwing a grenade in the locker room. Just because a player is uber-talented doesn't mean he'll be a valuable piece to his new team.

Maybe it's the environment he was in but his stats aren't eye popping.  5 goals and 18 assists in 75 games.....but he'll probably go somewhere and blow up, lol.
