DMT Posted October 24, 2005 Posted October 24, 2005 Jim O'Brien The most intriguing prospect on the UW radar screen for next season is Jim O'Brien, a highly regarded winger with the NTDP, but he said last week he will not make a decision until after he has made all his official recruiting visits. O'Brien, from Maplewood, Minn., said he "had a great amount of interest in Wisconsin" after making an unofficial campus visit here last December. He identified Colorado College, Michigan, Minnesota, North Dakota and UW as the schools he intended to visit "I'll know the right school when I see it," O'Brien said. Listed at 6-foot-3 and 184 pounds, O'Brien is the youngest player on the NTDP under-18 team (he turns 17 in January). The International Scouting Service ranked O'Brien the top 1989-born player in the U.S. last year. Quote

redwing77 Posted October 25, 2005 Posted October 25, 2005 I thought it was mentioned somewhere about Fredheim, a defenseman out of the BCHL who was drafted recently being somewhere on the radar to watch. Well, he committed to CC. Quote
AZSIOUX Posted October 25, 2005 Posted October 25, 2005 darcy zajac featured on BCHL home page.. Salmon Arm Silverbacks's Darcy Zajac Darcy has risen to the top of Silverbacks scoring with 13 goals and 15 assists in just 15 games so far this season. His fine play is not going unnoticed as he moves up in overall league scoring into 4th spot. Even with great blood lines Darcy is making his presence felt. http://www.bchl.bc.ca/leagues/front_pagebc...3&leagueID=2393 Quote

I don't know if the Sioux recruited him, but UND was not one of the schools on his short list. http://hockeyrecruits.blogspot.com/2005/10...aying-west.html Quote

spfreak Posted October 29, 2005 Posted October 29, 2005 He was mentioned when Spirko signed and I would think that the Sioux are likely at least taking a look at him. Quote
#1siouxfan22 Posted October 31, 2005 Posted October 31, 2005 Mario puts up both tri city goals tonite in a 4-2 loss. Hopefully he is starting to get his groove since hasnt done much on the stats side of the game yet this year. 4 pts in 13 games isnt eye opening so lets hope he kicks it into high gear now. Same can be said for Vandevelde he has been quiet lately. Quote
dagies Posted October 31, 2005 Author Posted October 31, 2005 Darcy Zajac now 2nd in the BCHL in scoring 17gp 14-17-31. He's 4th in goals scored. And for a player whose brother said can be "dirty" he's only got 15 PIMs. Quote
SIOUXELEVENS Posted October 31, 2005 Posted October 31, 2005 Friday night the Sioux had two recruits sitting with the players who weren't dressed, one was Zajac"s brother Darcy and the other was the leading goalie in the BCHL Marc Cheverie from Nanaimo.Maybe we will here about some verbals before too long Quote

Siouxhockey78 Posted November 1, 2005 Posted November 1, 2005 Well hopefully they were both sold on the Sioux. Be a change for the Sioux by having a goalie over 5'11"...lol Anyone have a clue if anyone is visiting this weekend. Quote
