In the 2009 class I think it’s the 3 kids I mentioned:  Schneider, Fitzhenry, and Johnson.  These conversations start tomorrow.  Lot of Gopher written on these guys, can Berry land one?

They didn’t get any in the last cycle, wonder what Bobs been up to?

Hopefully we don’t miss out on the next Harrison Blaisdell, Ethan Bowen, or Bowden Singleton.  Many of these guys mentioned could flame out like them.

Blaisdell at least made it to campus. Grayden Slipec would be a better example.

Ryan Gropp, JT Miller, Tambellini...common denominator?  drafted by the Rangers

That org has a huge youth development issue too.

If I’m Emery I enjoy my development time as long as possible at UND. He’s a good player no need to rush him to the NHL.

when is the last time we had a recruit that was top 6 or top 4 at WJC?  Sanderson probably...for a forward it probably goes back to Boeser

It’s been a while. Schmaltz…Blake? I know Schmaltz was on the PP

Blake was not featured...he barely made the team

Def not featured as a top 6 but I remember him earning more and more icetime as the tourney progressed. 6 pts in 7 games. I believe he had a goal called back against the Canadians in the semis. Second pp unit if in remembering correctly. Not terrible deployment.

What i love about that kid is that in a practice he looks like hes a weak skater, weak shooter, off....then at game speed he just jumps off the page and creates

He had a good WJC.   Kristo did too.

No, he did not. He had a good gold medal game. Started the tournament on the top line and was on the 4th by the end.

It cascades...they gotta land the 2009 to get the 2010...it sounds crazy, but the talent doesn't disappear.  Go grab a 2006 playing in the NAHL...hell no, get the top 2009 talent

You guys brain dead? Shane Pinto and he was Team USA’s leading goal scorer a few years back or close to it

Quit complaining.

Shane was good, not great, that was the weird covid deal too

UND is not where elite forwards dream of, and that has to change

Shane is an elite hockey player that we were lucky to have,  I am proud of him. My beef is where is the offensive talent?  Owen was elite and hasn't developed here.  Blake is fine, but come on...Zajac, Parise, Toews, Oshie....
