It is humorous.  They think they are getting DuPont, Smith, all the SCSU players, etc.  
If only UMN had 65 roster spots, they'd have room for all of them.

Supposedly his gf is going to MSUM this fall? He also follows MSUM on IG (both men’s and women’s teams). 
I’d love to land DuPont, but also think our d-corps would be elite again if we “just” land Carels from the big CHL D group. Only so much playing time and special teams spots to go around.

Wonder how many more commitment flips we see this offseason. With coaching changes, brand new recruits, guys staying, portal commits, lots of currently committed players to various schools will see that their program doesn't have room and will flip elsewhere.

Marek reporting Jack Nesbitt (2025 Philadelphia 1st rounder) and Cameron Reid (2025 Nashville 1st rounder) to Michigan. Nesbitt been quietly known for awhile, Reid had been rumored a bit as well.

I'm hoping that they follow the same trajectory that BU did with all their 1st round draft picks this season.

There's a few other CHLers that were rumored to Michigan as well.  But now Michigan is getting pretty full...hopefully that frees up some for other schools...like UND.

The other school that he follows on insta (BU) seems to be pretty full as well. They’d have to push someone out to make room I feel.

Guys like Carels, DuPont, Belchetz, Rudolph, Preston, Roobroeck are prime targets for North Dakota, but also a few other schools like Boston College & Penn State. Michigan is likely out of space, maybe room for one more new recruit, as their incoming class prior to this wasn't super stacked outside of Hurlbert

 

EDIT: Not getting my hopes up about the Ruck Twins, considering the noise about them likely staying in the Dub for next season

EDIT: Not getting my hopes up about the Ruck Twins, considering the noise about them likely staying in the Dub for next season

This certainly helps North Dakota’s chances with the remaining top WHL defensemen, especially Carels with Reid being a LHD. I would be a little surprised if none of the remaining WHL defensemen (DuPont, Rudolph, and Carels) committed to Michigan. A lot of teams are starting to fill up and UND clearly has open spots.

I finally came across that insider that was talked about.

Well we've got 1 opening at left D and 1 opening at right D.

 

And I don't think UND is in any rush to fill those holes. Will likely be waiting out Everett's season along with Prince George to try and land both Carels + Dupont. If they miss then you add an older depth player as needed from the portal. Schloss seemed to hint that UND will attempt to try and land Dupont (he seems to have a way different attitude about this recruitment compared to McKenna's) If we landed Verhoeff over Michigan there's no reason we can't land Dupont over them.

I'd think we would be in on Rudolph as well. If DuPont is chasing $$$ we are out of the picture.
