Shaeffer Gordon-Corroll is going to visit schools at the end of the season.

Top 6:

Denver, Michigan, Minnesota, Michigan State, BC, and Notre Dame,

Denver is the obvious school to link him to most, but Michigan & Michigan State make a lot of sense. Boston College too with his Medicine Hat Tigers teammate Noah Davidson going there.

Caine Wilke (2008, WHL, Calgary Hitmen) has 8 points in 8 games, only program he follows is North Dakota. One to keep an eye on.

In similar news - Noticed last night that Aden Bouchard and Ludovic Pearault now follow UND hockey on instagram.

Perreault off to a very good start in the Dub. 11 GP, 6 PTS, good 16 year old season production

Chase Surkan (2009, Brandon Wheat Kings, Regina SK) is off to a rockstar start in the Dub. 11 GP, 19 PTS, 12 of those points being goals.

5'7 so you'd hope he grows but he finds the right spots on the ice very well already. Someone to keep an eye on for sure.

I can't be the only one to notice how Ryan Lin (2008) has statistically outperformed Landon DuPont (2009) by a significant margin so far in the Dub.

I would hope Chyzyk is in contact with Lin about coming in next year, would assume Lin has everyone after him (but of course he could sign his ELC and just attempt to make the league right away post draft).

Certainly agree on Lin. I would think and like to see us get one of the WHL guys (Lin, Carels, Rudolph, Dupont). If would could get one of them and already would have Lindberg and Mackenzie coming, I think we would only have room for one unless like was mentioned if a guy like Jubenvil hits the portal. Would really like to add Preston to the forward group!

Preston is the catch from the WHL forward group IMO.  I think he would really thrive in the NCAA...super fast, shifty type.
Would love for Bryn to lock him down.

This is why college hockey is going to be so competitive going forward, as in the past you would have maybe a few teams with an elite high drafted player on the back end.  Now, should many choose to take the route many NHL teams will no doubt favor, there could be 6-10 teams with a high end defenseman, providing you have guys like Verhoeff and Jackson Smith stay a second season.  That many teams with a high end power play quarterback certainly evens the playing field.
I think it also means that teams that can manage their rosters to have a good mix of high end talent and upperclassmen that have experienced everything in college hockey, are going to be the ones that can be consistent from year to year.  Thank goodness for Bryn Chyzyk.  I wonder if the NCAA may increase the tourney field to get more of these big names in the spotlight.

Carson Carels has UND written all over him. It would be a miss if he doesn’t end up at UND. He’s somewhat local, his sister plays at Jamestown, and he seems to have some interest in coming. I would love to see next year’s freshman class include him and Preston. Hopefully Verhoeff has high praise for UND. I’m sure he is pretty close with a lot of these guys.

From what I've heard, Carels is supposedly the one who informed his agent/advisor that he wanted to come to UND right after the Verhoeff and Reschney commits that Schloss has mentioned on his Pod.

Excellent find/pull, did not know that. Feels like he'd be an obvious fit in Grand Forks.

It would not surprise me if he committed shortly after the CHL season this year. The fit is great for both sides.
