Side note: He has been liking all of UND’s recent posts on instagram since he started following them.

Good sign, especially him and Bryn following each other. He’d be a nice candidate for a top 6 winger role on this year’s team. And, added bonus of taking a BU recruit after the Boisvert/OMac crap.

With McLaughlin, Boisvert, Ritchie, Murtagh, & Fondrk coming in, very possible that Pridham would get buried down the Terriers lineup in a less than ideal development situation for him.

For sure could be a candidate, but a lot of competition for that top 6.

This roster stuff all happens long in advance…I’m assuming Pridham knew he was losing a spot at BU. I also wouldn’t think he’d instantly have a top 6 spot on our team. 3rd rounder, sure. But he’d have to earn it first. There’s other older/worthy guys on our current squad deserving of that look.

I have a hunch 8/1 could be a bit boring but overall I am excited for this recruiting cycle. I think Chyz etc is going to pull a few high enders

Yep, I don’t expect many immediate commits and, of those that do happen, I think very few will be high-end recruits committing to blue chip programs

I'm of the mindset he'll want to get the commitment out of the way so he doesn't have to deal with the distraction of questions during the WHL season. I just get the feeling he wont want to drag out the commitment like Mckenna and his team did - he seems like a different personality based on the interviews i've heard him on. Based on his social media following he also seems more clued in on the college scene than Mckenna was.

The one big caveat would be if he wants to know exactly the situation of what each team's blue line will look like in the 2026 - in that case it would be a July commitment likely post draft (will be interesting to see)

Are you following him to see that?

I briefly followed him to see because I was curious.

Other targets like Carson Carels and Landon DuPont have liked some of UND’s recent posts as well.

I believe his dad is his agent.

At first glance, I think a lot of these top guys on this list are headed to the Big Ten. I think UND will have a lot more success in Canada. There are so many talented players available in this cycle.

Spencer Anderson of TRF is a new name, listed under HM.

Brooks DeMars being from Hugo and playing in Long Island rather than Gentry Academy right down the road is a red flag.

Not really…Mn kids have been going to the (now defunct) LI Gulls for the past few years

Have any made it to the college level? I remember someone from Forest Lake or another northern exurb doing it but didn't realize it was common.

Malachi MacKinnon and Conrad Fondrk stick out to me as D1 commits from the Metro who've gone out east to play minor hockey

I honestly did not know that teams have been able to have contact with these players since January 1st. I feel like most of these guys will commit right away if their plan was always to the NCAA route. I doubt NIL is really in the picture until the kid gets closer to campus. Promising a 16 year old money is a huge gamble.

Great point. Since the 2009s haven't played a full year of junior (many of the US late 2008s have), there's little real track record for NCAA coaches to go off of to be offering big time NIL to 16 year olds.

Looking at guys like Martone and McKenna, they got their big NIL deals because they give their program a huge boost for the upcoming season. You are not doing very much projecting with those guys. Also, offering a 16 year old a full ride scholarship to a big time university is hard to pass up in itself.

Those guys have proven track records of elite junior production & they're older. They're worth the investment. All of these 15/16 year olds coming out of minor hockey, HS, Prep, too much projection to have to do. Need a junior sample size IMHO

Malachi?  Does he play physical with big checks?  Who else remembers the "Malachi Crunch" from Happy Days?  :D  Poor Pinky Tuscudero, haha.

Yeah, that'd be my guess as well.
Could see UND snagging Grubb & Zimmerman off that list.
Guys like Fitzhenry and Schneider would be great gets, but those would be huge steals from the MN schools and not sure if we're on their radar.
Agreed that the Canadian list will have more options for UND.
