siouxyeahyeah
3rd down incomplete. 4th down. Sioux must punt. Fumble on the punt at UND 45. Not a very good punt. WW retains football.\

siouxyeahyeah
Touchdown Sioux after an interception by Digger Anderson. 1st down pass from Belmore to Grossman, Grossman runs it in for the TD. 13:42 to go in third quarter. 34-0 Sioux. Here's a fun fact: New UND AD Tom Buning does pushups after every Sioux score. Apparently he just whipped out 34 pretty easily. Those Army guys.... dakotadan
The announcers pointed out that UND has scored 58 points on turnovers this season. That is pretty impressive.
siouxyeahyeah
Dressler takes punt at the Sioux 5 and runs it back for a TD....but....flag on the field. We're coming back. Penalty nowhere near Dressler's run back. Sioux get ball at 40 due to Tom DeSautel penalty. Didn't hear what for...illegal block I think? Reed Manke now in at QB for Sioux. siouxyeahyeah
Beatty getting some nice runs. Great blocks by the hogs. Sioux on the WW 2 yd line. 1st and goal. Edit: Should have waited 5 seconds to post. Beatty runs it in for the TD on 1st down.
siouxyeahyeah
10:32 to go in 3rd quarter. Sioux 41, WW 0. We're pretty much dominating every aspect of this game. Last drive was 6 plays, 60 yds in 90 seconds.
siouxyeahyeah
Sioux working on a great goal line stand right now. 3 consecutive downs for WW inside the red zone. 4th down...WW goes for it. 10, 681 fans in the Al. TD eventually called by the officials. Hammer and Stein are saying it looked iffy. 5:04 to play in 3rd quarter. 41-7 Sioux.
siouxyeahyeah
Sioux mount a decent drive, but are facing 4th and 6. Glas misses 31 yd field goal. Flag on the play. Running into the kicker. Glas now attempting 26 yd. field goal down middle of field. Good. 44-7 Sioux. 30 sec. to go in 3rd.

siouxyeahyeah
Yeah they said Lennon was discussing it with the refs, but apparently they just gave WW a five yard penalty. Maybe it wasn't exactly "running into the kicker" but something of a lesser offense? Dan Hammer could also have gotten the call wrong... siouxyeahyeah
Glas attempting another field goal. 3rd QB was in on the drive but don't know his name. Glas kick good...wanna say it was about a 30-some yarder - didn't catch the distance. About 5 minutes to go in the game. 47-7 Sioux.

siouxyeahyeah
Thanks for the name on that 3rd QB. Game over. 47-7 Sioux. We'll get some post-game stats in a few minutes. Lennon interviewed and was concerned his team hasn't been challenged for a full game.

Sioux-cia
Just got back from the game. Great to win but second half pretty anti-climatic. Our guys look SMOOTH. Dressler is a sight to behold. Buning makes push ups look real easy-he did plenty today. Defensive lined up 3/4 every time regardless of what the offense was doing. Wonder if they'll continue this against tougher offense. Wish you guys could be here live.
redwing77
The AD seems to be quite a character. Good win for the Sioux.
CoteauRinkRat
The Sioux played another very solid game. It will be interesting to see how they play against an NCC school. They have yet to be tested for 4 quarters. Great win for the Sioux !!!!
Diggler
If UND plays like they should, they shouldn't be tested next week either. This is a very very good team. They have absolutely destroyed four teams that are at least average without much if any difficulty. And Dressler is incredible. The thought of him in two years as a senior is scary. Let'sGoHawks!
Colorado Mines has just sent the South Dakota game into overtime. They were down 41-13 going into the 4th quarter! Overtime coming up. 41-41.

dakotadan
They announced an attenance of 10,681. A good showing by the SIOUX fans. Hopefully this number continues to rise for each game. I'd like to see UND be #1 in average attendance this year.
bincitysioux
Good game today. Nice showing by the fans. As usual the defense was stellar, but seemed to allow WW to convert on alot of third downs. This was by far the best showing by the offense so far this season. Easily Belmore's best game, he looked poised and confident, and I can only remember him missing one throw. Dressler was fantastic as usual. His catch and long run for a TD was display of him turning on the afterburners. The punt return TD that got called back was unfortunate, but it was the right call. It was the block that freed him, the tackler missed him by only a foot or so. Glas was great, hitting two monster field goals, 48 and 52 yards I think. But for some reason he wasn't booming kickoffs into the endzone today as usual.
Diggler
I don't think Glas was hitting the ball as hard as he usually does either. He barely kicked the 52 yarder far enough. He usually, whether he has the accuracy or not, easily has enough distance to make it from 60 yards.
siouxfan0186
I though these quotes were pretty good, I found them on WWU's website from their head coach: "North Dakota was everything we expected," said Western head coach Rob Smith. "It was a good old-fashioned fanny kicking." But I'm not going to make excuses, we got our butts kicked... I am happy that the Sioux are playing so well, however I would really like to see a competative game to see how good they really are. I think the next couple of weeks will show us a little more excitement. One can't complain though, a win is a win.
