Well said.

And again I would add aligning with the remaining Summit members that it’s off the table if they leave in their own.  Not sure how they do it but have to make it a challenge to move on their own.  Not having a bus league for Olympic sports makes it nearly impossible.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ make it hurt

Won't the Summit be under the minimum team number if we kick NDSU out?  That would hurt us as much as them.  I'm not following the Summit connection to football either

I think Mankato would have a very hard time getting permission from the state to move up.  U of M protects their turf pretty heavily

Austin Peay must be going FBS as well because this language all looks pretty familiar...

Sources tell FootballScoop on Thanksgiving that Faris and Austin Peay have agreed to terms on a new, five-year contract extension. The Govs just capped a 7-5 campaign that began when the Faris-led program smashed Derek Mason's FBS MTSU Blue Raiders, 34-14, on the road.

Most important in this new deal that extends the contract through 2030 of the 35-year-old former Duke player and David Cutcliffe disciple, it provides "substantial more resources" for both player-compensation, via revenue-sharing and Name, Image and Likeness, as well as additional money for Austin Peay's assistant coaches' salary pool, sources shared.

50th in fcs attendance.. under 7k average.. missing the playoffs in a watered down FCS.. might as well move up and play with the big boys.

this is the type of delusion that has watered down the fcs to its current level.  A team that should actually move down to D2.. is talking about moving up to FBS.. I wish college football had European soccer rules and had relegation/promotion

could fenton put the turkey down and see how many votes he would get if you added a bylaw stating that if a summit member has 1a football that they would have a competitive advangtage in the oly sports so you move to 1a you are kicked out of the summit?

I'd still like to know, why would the Slummit care where anyone plays football when they don't sponsor football?

Gonna be even deader if we kick out the XDSUs  . We probably should have stayed in the Sky
