We have had too many QBs we all get so excited about come in here and then just either suck or never even get the opportunity to prove themselves. Mollberg, Palandech, Feeney just to name a few. Could Jerry be next? 2 Quote

shep Posted Monday at 03:23 PM Posted Monday at 03:23 PM This talk of giving Jerry a chance makes it seem like he's not able to practice. He got a chance last fall. He is getting a chance this fall. Does anyone think the coaches are hoping he fails so they can keep Simon out there?? 1 Quote

I guess when I say give him a shot I don’t mean just hand it to him. If Simon is our best option, move forward with him. Everyone is in agreement that it was a colossal failure not giving Jerry some more run last year. 5 Quote

Regardless of anything else, you don’t do that to a player who ruptured his Achilles playing for you, without giving him a chance to return. Although I have heard (second hand) that JK is leading the competition to be the starter this fall, this staff is giving SR a chance to compete. Mollberg should have been given the same chance after his injury. That ship has long sailed so it no longer matters. I don’t care which of the 4 guys they choose, it will be whomever the coaches think gives this team the best chance to win. I believe it’s a “work in progress” no matter who starts. 5 2 Quote
Popular Post Oxbow6 Posted Monday at 05:18 PM Popular Post Posted Monday at 05:18 PM "Work in progress" better not be said if Simon breaks the huddle as QB1 in a couple of weeks. He took EVERY meaningful snap last season. If he's the guy this season again it needs to be because he improved dramatically from last season to the start of this season. 5 1 Quote

I would agree that if Simon starts it it would be because of dramatic improvement from last year. I think the same could be said about JK. It seems none of them have yet shown the consistency needed to clearly grab the lead, it will be a “work in progress “ and I would include SR. I considered his entire season last year as a “work in progress “. Just my opinion. Quote

I don't know who made the final final decision to start Simon...but i think it might have been the guy with the 55% wining percentage and a 3% winning percentage on the road. I highly doubt Isaac chose him...if Simon starts in Manhatten we know he's Isaac's guy and good luck...all eyes on you...if he's qb3 then we'll know that Bubba chose him. Either way this 20 year "work in progress" is pathetic.... 4 Quote

You keep beating that drum but if Simon is qb3, it still tells you nothing about last year's decision. Jerry was a RF last year and is a year further along in his development. JTJ wasn't even here. 5 2 Quote
