It was Quincy Patterson. He came from Virginia Tech. Great athlete but no accuracy or touch.

Has anyone gone to any of their practices recently? Just curious on latest findings outside of just Miller's, although I typically enjoy his updates. Just would be nice to get a few more opinions on the situation as of recent.

Zeb Nolan and Quincy Patterson. Both benched for Cam Miller. Hopefully the coaches know they can go to the backup if the starter sucks!!!

No idea on the times. They weren’t in full pads either and it also wasn’t game time so you just don’t know what kind of wheels he’s truly got yet. Looked noticeably dynamic though fwiw. Worth at least a package if he isn’t qb1.

As much as we hate to admit it, a 1st team all American, NFL draft pick, and conference POY classifies as a stud in my book

there is a reason why a lot of FCS qb's flame out in the the pros.........................the speed of the game.

fbs especially the "bigger better" confernces are as close to nfl speed as it gets and that is still a long long way away from the speed of the nfl.

++ a quick scan of all 32 teams...i don't think one team will have a fcs qb starting (flacco?)...and not too many in the running as qb1 or qb2?

I haven't gone back and looked at Jerry’s hudl or anything recently,  but for some reason everyone thinks he isn't mobile and can't run.  He has got to be one of the fastest guys on the team watching him run down the sidelines last year alongside Smith

Now I know speed doesn't always equate to a good or great runner. But I'm not sold on the thought that Jerry can't run and scramble when he needs to. Him on a fake hand off  and doing  a QB keeper around the end....with his speed....sounds pretty good to me. We just haven't gotten to see him enough to know. Im a couple days behind on Tom's write ups...so maybe im missing something recently in there. 

I picked Jerry in the poll since JTJ struggled in spring camp and is still picking up the offense. Jerry was pretty highly thought of when we brought him in here, I just think he needs a chance. 

Im saying 0 percent chance Simon starts. Another guy needs a shot,  Simon was about at his ceiling last year. Glad he is still here though if injuries pile up, he can still go in and manage a game and make some plays and has experience.

that's what so confounding about last year....go with the most mobile qb you say?  then they pick simon when I think jerry is bigger, stronger, and faster than simon and HOPEFULLY can throw better than him....

Heard of Tony Romo or Joe Flacco.  No reason UND can't do the same.  I'm sure there's many others.

yes i have...just saying that as we speak right now i think all 32 teams will be lead by a fbs qb....maybe flacco starts for the joke on the lake or he coule be 4th string...

flacco was one play away from probably selling insurance in toledo....romo was overhyped but non qb stands a chance in dallas with jerry jones breathing down your neck

Don't really care who starts, they will have earned it but I doubt last year's performance will be a significant factor. Romfo was also playing injured, which didn't help matters (and still managed to keep the job).

So an injured romfo was better than giving Jerry minutes in games that didn’t mean anything..  last years story gets worse by the minute.

I was thinking about this yesterday.   It seems a lot of people are loving Cam Miller with the Raiders and he'll most likely make the team based on his game last week.   We should remember that we beat him handily 2 years ago and we did it with Bubba.
