Tons of potential. Very skilled and really good shooter. I think he needs to be tougher though. There’s times he should be taking the ball to the basket but seems content to sit outside and shoot the three. Also needs to get better defensively and at rebounding. I’m guessing he’s on NDSU and UND’s radar though.

I can see UND passing on Gibson just because he thinks he is better than he is and might not be showing interest in UND. All speculation no sources on that though. Saw he just joined a new national prep program/AAU team for next season.

I’ve never watched him but hard to argue with 70 points and 3k only as a junior. Would be a 2027 kid. He’s small. Feels like NSIC to me.

speaking of the nsic...with the new alliance with the big sky taking up a couple ooc games (love it btw)....is it time to stop with crown college and whatnot and start playing minot and moorhead in ooc games....

i'l rather see a tight game v moorhead and a potential loss than watching crown college or mayville play at the betty ever ever again.

They all soon will be in the Summit League.  Fenton cant get any other teams.   Id rather watch a close game against Moorhead also, but I doubt Sather wants them on the schedule to pad his win numbers for his next contract extension.

The bigs have certainly been lacking under Sather. Fil was good, but he was inherited. T had some moments. Amar was good, I liked him more his first year here. Guga has shown some flashes but is a bench piece, imo. Finding a big or two this offseason is imperative.

Speaking of the NSIC and ND kids, what's everyone's take on Carson Yale from Minot State? He didn't look like a D1 kid his senior year at Des Lacs - Burlington, but it's clear that kid has been working his ass off in the weight room, and is averaging 9ppg/5rb as a redshirt freshman. 6'9", can stretch the floor and shoot the 3 a bit (36%), and isn't passive at the cup - dunks hard in traffic. If he hits the portal, do we think he can play in the Summit?

UND coaches were at Fargo North watching Carter Evanson last night. He had a pretty good game.

I wonder if Crew Rickard is on UND or NDSU's radar. He is a junior but I heard he has a few D2 teams looking at him. He is probably the best shooter in the state and has from the logo range. I saw he dropped 38 and 11 3's last week against South.

I just checked out his highlights and he kind of reminds me of Uelmen. Maybe a better shooter but has a bit of a low shot similar to Greyson but might get it off slightly quicker.

I would like to propose a trade with Minot State. Ryan Erikson for Carson Yale.

If you watched the lions all star game their senior year Yale was a way better pick than either Erickson or Doppler.  Makes the choice all the more of a head scratcher.   
yale has had some pretty significant injury issues but he has been fun to watch when healthy
