The first physical action is what the law looks at. Broken jaw in two places. What if the punchee had gone head on concrete and died? Still no big deal? For reference: https://www.kxnet.com/news/fargo-man-sentenced-for-fatal-punch-outside-bar/ This has happened a couple times recently in Scottsdale. Guy gets hit in the head (and/or falls hits their head) and dies. The guy being the aggressor gets convicted. Quote
cberkas Posted 5 hours ago Author Posted 5 hours ago Now every student section knows how to get McKenna off his game. If Penn State had to play at Lawson after this the lunatics would be say something about his mom all game. 1 Quote

Wait, this Coakley guy is a PSU alum? WTF? Maybe he hooked up with Gavin's mom and then she ghosted him, so he was bitter and called her a wh*re. Kidding, kidding. Maybe shouldn't make jokes about it, but seriously, it's hard to imagine what the motivation could be since he's a PSU guy. Did Gavin steal bang his girlfriend? 2 Quote

These are the dumbass comments that get a guy’s ass kicked. Only an idiot makes crude comments about a guys Mom or girlfriend. You are probably safe trying to be funny hundreds of miles away. If you use your head (that’s that lump 3 ft above your ass) you will delete your post. 1 Quote

I'm sure there will be fans who can figure out some "scoring" and penalty references (hooking, holding, butt ending) that will be directed at him/his mother. Quote

He had a history of fighting and bullying, there were photos of Patterson wearing a shirt that said "Talk !@#$, Get Hit", and he was arguably the instigator because when they were both kicked out of the Ho-Do, he walked towards the victims and hit them both. I'm very familiar with that case because I was involved in the civil lawsuit. Sucks that a guy like that gets to walk away after only 18 months in prison. Quote

I'm guessing you haven't met too many PSU alums. There are some good people for sure but that school attracts a lot of morons or poor decision makers throughout Pennsylvania, too. Quote

You gonna let some dingbat stab you first too? Gavin probably should have walked away. The other dumbass definitely should've walked away. If the storyline holds true I hope the charges against Gavin are dropped entirely. If it makes it to court I hope his charges are acquitted by the jury. Dude with a broken jaw should equally be charged with crimes...disorderly, disturbing the peace, harassment, heck I'd like to see a charge for assaulting Gavin's fist with his face. I'm not for violence but I'm even moreso against rewarding degenerates for being degenerate. The guy took it upon himself to place himself in a risky situation, own it. What's legal is a different matter unfortunately. 1 Quote

hockeytherapy13 Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Hot take: Let’s say this story is true about McKenna’s mom being harassed and the “punchee” was waiting outside to taunt some more. If McKenna doesn’t serve jail time and is allowed to play somewhere this season, I think this propels him to #1 overall. Was he defending the honor of his mom from a heckler that wouldn’t just let it go? Teams will eat that up because now it looks like he isn’t as soft as we all thought and will go to bat for people he cares about. Combine that with the fact that he’s finally tearing it up on the ice and he has started teaching his potential this past month, he’s going #1. Doesn’t change the fact it was an insanely stupid decision. He deserves punishment, but this hopefully doesn’t completely derail his future. 1 Quote

Head hit the ground and died at the hospital. Case is still on going. https://www.azfamily.com/2025/10/23/5-arrested-after-man-dies-fight-outside-old-town-scottsdale-bar/?outputType=amp Quote
