tnt Posted 23 hours ago Posted 23 hours ago I like how the announcer says “that’s why this is the best rivalry in college hockey.”Generally a great rivalry isn’t a one sided affair that doesn’t have a history of hotly contested post season matches. Quote

brianvf Posted 23 hours ago Posted 23 hours ago Denver has really picked it up after a rough start of the season...those losses to UAA and Lindenwood (plus the tie to Air Force) seem to be all but forgotten now. Quote

Number 2 in the NPI with those losses? Hmmm.... Quote

Yeah I'm guessing that NPI is still pretty dang volatile this early. I imagine Dartmouth will tank pretty quick when their 1st loss happens. We went from 5th to 9th tonight. Def doesn't help us that 3 of our losses are to ASU, UMN, and Clarkson in #41, 42, and 43 in NPI. Quote

CC would have a hand on it, but if they split the series the one who won it last year still holds it. Denver won 4 or 3 of 4 last year and they both win 2 this year, Denver technically keeps it even though they would share it Quote

Until CC is in the top two of the NCHC and winning the Gold Pan 7 straight years than this rivalry will be better. This rivalry has been so one sided for years I just hope CC can beat them, instead of CC is going to beat Denver because they are better. Quote

That’s Ken Landau for you. The biggest homer announcer in all of college hockey. Trust me, as a long time season ticket holder this isn’t a rivalry until we can consistently start winning some games and winning some Gold Pans more than once every seven years. I will give this Mayotte led team credit though, this is a much more physical and skilled CC team than that of years past under Haviland where we might get an occasional upset win over DU because Alex Leclerc had to put up 50 saves. That Miller for DU is the real deal, by the way. Mbereko played well this weekend but CC simply had a hard time solving Miller. 2 Quote

CC need to start giving the backup games over Mbereko or they could be looking for a starter and backup next year. Quote

Yah they brought in a touted freshman and yet there doesn’t appear to be any signs he gets a whiff of playing time. Quote

ASU's goalie gave up rebounds all night on Saturday, but we weren't there to capitalize on them. Jackson didn't bring up being "hot goalied" after Saturday night's game and neither should we. It can get into guy's heads and become a mental issue that is hard to get rid of. Quote

At the end of the 2nd period Saturday we were outshooting Miami 39-5 and winning 4-0. We almost had more goals then they had shots... lol. I think the whole "Miami is back" talk might have taking a bit of a hit this weekend. Quote

brianvf Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago Miami did the same routine as PSU. Cupcake early schedule led to an inflated record. Quote
nodakgirl93 Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago Was watching the highlights from QU & BU and their 1st goal came from a bad turnover from OMac. I got a good laugh from that. 1 Quote

UND only has three players total that are -, and they are all only -1. Def don't think OMac (or Perron) would have fit in on this UND team. Quote

Another poster to remain nameless blasted me for it. Egg has been dripping from his face ever since. Someone put chili powder in your jock? They still beat UND 5-1. UND still hasn't played up to the hype for 8-9 years. Time will tell. And I hate Gophers. Quote
