Discretionary income only goes so far, Vikings, Wild, Timberwolves, Twins, Gophers Football & Basketball all compete with Gophers Hockey for people's income & attendance. Their fanbase size is mildly overrated

it didn't used to be this way for them. They used to sell out every night. For as much as people make fun of the Kohl Center being empty now, Mariucci looks the same most games.

Does Miami come crashing back down to earth now that the cupcake portion of their schedule is complete...or do they keep it up?

Kudos to them for winning the games, but their opponents (FSU, RPI, Lindenwood) have a combined record of 4-16-0 so far.  
Their next three opponents are ASU, WMU, and SCSU.
We'll see how they're looking after those 6 games are done.

Didn't realize hockey east was so bad this season.  Maybe we won't have to deal with all of those eastern teams in the NCAAs this year.

Boston College noticeably worse without Perreault, Leonard, and Fowler, and didn't add any high end CHLers to supplement their roster. Conmy has gone quiet the past few games as well, their offense overall hasn't clicked other than Letourneau looking a lot better.

 

Boston University still looks solid but a bit worse with Yegorov not saving as many pucks so far as he did last year. Their roster still looks very good for the most part.

 

Maine and Providence College are adjusting to a lot of roster turnover, we'll see where they're at at the end of the season.

Guess from your mouth to God’s ears doesn’t apply, so from your typing fingers to God’s consciousness!   Seriously, our league needs to finish out the non conference games strong to help that scenario come true.

There's only so much discretionary income, but an abundance of losing franchises to watch.  How can one choose?

The point is that neither player had aged out yet, so they could have played CHL and logged way more important minutes and gone to college the following year. 7 minutes a game for a skilled player is a joke. We have had that conversation about ushl since the beginning. But this is all new for the CHL players. A lot of them think they are a little better than they are. College puck is no joke.
