Kind of unfortunate they couldn't make it a Saturday evening game, but you've got a 4 plus hour trip for both teams after a Friday night game that wouldn't get them on the bus and out of the building until 11 or 12.

Hopefully Sunday in St. Paul draws 10k plus.

PROTIP: I inquired with the X about suites a while back, and while they didn't even know about the game yet, they said when Gophers played Tommies suites were $75 per person for groups as small as 12 and as big as 50.

Next year's team as it's currently being structured reminds me of Mankato last year: heavy, physical & older. Which yes, this experience should win them some more games. But to put UND over the top, they could use an elite F from the CHL who can give them 40+ points to make them a legitimate contender, instead of just relying on scoring by committee.

A team from Michigan and a team from Denver playing in St Paul, Minnesota should be a sign of what a game between a team from North Dakota and a team from Minnesota will draw in crowd numbers?

Isaac Gordon to UND!

Gordon is a solid forward addition.  Jax and Bryn have made some good moves in the portal and recruiting trail.
Now I'd just love to see a high end CHL forward prospect to tie it all together.  Add in a SR and/or FR dman to balance out the d-corps a bit and we'll be set.

JR - Menghini, Gordon
SO - Swanson, Littler, Croal, Andrew
FR - Zellers, Klee, Zakreski, Kernan

Defense (7):

JR - Zmolek, Livanavage, Wiebe

FR - Laurila

Goalies (3):
SR - Sandy (RS possibility)
JR - Homer

It's such an odd combination of names, but it could work and be a lot better than I expect. More veteran culture guys + young guys with a year more experience under their belt could be pivotal

Smaby will be announced next week, even if Waterloo is still playing. If the news that he's bringing McMorrow is true that would be a great addition to our freshmen class.

I say under due to the fact that UND couldn't even fill it when they played Western back in March. The destination/casual fans won't even show up for this game.

Does that mean Schultz will decommit? Someone on this board said a while back he isn't a fan of Smaby when Smaby was a head coach candidate.

Laurila & Zellers on the first team. Spunar named to Third Team. 

Interesting that Lee & Martino also on First Team. Both thought of as good on the offensive side, but do not have good 200 ft. game. Gunderson, tied or traded with Zellers for the league lead for most of the season, was named to the Third Team. 

Hopefully this bodes well for Laurila & Zellers to be named DPOY & POY tomorrow.

Even when UND played the evening game, the attendance was never stellar. Same with game in Bemidji and Duluth.

This game will most definitely be in the afternoon on Sunday. You think a college hockey game on a Sunday afternoon will take away from the NFL? Please....
