CMSioux Posted April 1 Posted April 1 It's starting to sink in, BB is now like hockey, if we get a good one expect them to be around for about two years and enjoy that time. Quote

Nah it’s much different with BB. If you get one that can breathe, expect them to be around 1 maybe 2 years. Quote

GoodGood Posted April 1 Author Posted April 1 It’s starting to feel like if you have a good coach, he can move on to a bigger program after a year or two 1 Quote

Hopefully Sather can use Eaglestaff as a great example of why leaving a year earlier than maybe you should can pay dividends down the road. Quote

In sports like basketball and hockey, losing 5-8 guys every year is hard to sustain winning. SDSU men dealt with it this year and NDSU and UND are dealing with annually. In the last 2 years, NIL has put 3 UND players in Cal (ACC), Washington (Big 10), and now South Carolina (SEC). Figuring out how to sustain and kind of success when an average program losing 3 guys to schools like this is really hard. I'm not sure anyone is Summit has it figured out. 2 Quote
GoodGood Posted April 1 Author Posted April 1 The beautiful thing about the portal is it goes both ways. This years 1st team is a great example. This is where players transferred in from Barnstable - D3 Cluff - High major Forte - Mid major Moni - D2 Sutton - JUCO White - JUCO 1 2 Quote

Omaha lost their best player from the year before in Frankie Fiddler and they figured it out just fine. It’s wild what a good coach can do for a program. 3 Quote
McBuckets Posted April 1 Posted April 1 I know its been said before but this is a problem every single program in the country is dealing with this. Its the coaches job to figure out a way to be successful. No one is saying it is an easy job but we need to stop making excuses and lowering the standards 2 1 Quote

I would think that he will finish up his classes online. With the demands on athletes now days, they take a lot of online classes. Quote

Is academic eligibility still a thing or are we completely done pretending some of these guys are college students? Quote
