Notre Dame is doing just fine with their NBC deal.

Eh, financially sure. There is much to be desired there but it is the brand so it is what it is.

They finished with a higher strength of schedule than multiple p4 at-large playoff teams this year, with a relatively down schedule. The issue regarding a conference is not having other schools shill on your behalf (for their benefit and your own, appearances mean money). In the case of the SEC and ACC, they also happen to be TV partners with ESPN...you can take a guess who they want in the playoffs lol

gotta stop mentioning miami...they beat nd

Do you know how old the guys are who played in those games are now?  At the old end, about 35. At the young end, like 24 lol

past performance might be a sticking point with trying them again.

Big Ten and SEC just need to get together and do their own thing.  Big Ten Champ vs SEC champ.  Set it up like just like the NFL.  Set the teams up into divisions and schedule games just like the NFL does.

The only reason it's not is because the NCAA like it that way it is.  It was discussed for weeks about who should be in the Playoffs now its discussed who got screwed over and who should not be in the playoffs.  The NFL is simple.  You are in or out.  Look at your record, the first game means as much as the last game.

The only 2 teams that deserve a shot at the Championship this year are Georgia and Indiana.  If you don't make it to to you conference championship game, why should you have a chance at a national championship?  If you lost the Conference championship you are not as good as the team that beat you.  Why should you get another chance.  The Big 10 and SEC Championship was basically meaningless, why even play it.  How long until teams rest their best players to avoid injury before National tournament.

If the top 2 seed make it to the championship, why should Indiana have to prove again that they are Ohio st.  If you are not the best in your conference, how can you be the best in the country.

You and Greg McIlroy are making an argument to get rid of the conference championship games and it’s a good one.

they should be played and they should count...

big boys....sec and whatnot....probably both in but winner probably gets a bye or if they expand you get a worser team in round 1

not big boys....win and you might get in...like uva and duke the other night....uva might have gotten in...great game...it was fun to watch

UVA would have gotten in, JMU would have been out then.

Conference championship games should be gone. You play about half the teams in your conference now. Its a total crapshoot.
