Hans8891 Posted November 5 Posted November 5 If we don’t have more than this, we will be lucky to win 2 games in the conference. We have zero team defensive skills. Not much for individual defensive skills. An offense that doesn’t generate anything. We have 5 assists so far. 30 percent shooting when we don’t turn it over - which is a third of our possessions. No shooters other than Trey. Ouch…. Finally a few minutes of pushing up the floor resulted in a couple good looks. Need that more - half court offense is nonexistent. CSU is good but we don’t look like we belong on the floor with them. Quote
sioux24/7 Posted November 5 Author Posted November 5 Can’t let last nights result weigh too much on our outlook but I do fear this may take time. I still think we lack that PG that can create for others. Mier can handle the duties but feel like he would be a better slasher. Eaglestaff could maybe do it but he’s also the guy that needs to score 20+ for us. Also, we need to figure it out defensively. Seems like we have some of the attributes to be relatively good defensively, minus a post defense, but not sure we have the want to be good defensively yet. 1 Quote

It’s always going to be tough to be a good defensive team when you’re missing that piece. Not saying it’s impossible, but it certainly makes it way more difficult. Quote
UND1983 Posted November 5 Posted November 5 Treysen seemed to get locked up pretty good last night. They covered him up on the ball screen stuff Quote

Luckily, there’s not a whole lot of post bigs in the league that are in issue, as of right now. Cluff with SDSU will be tough. Quote

SiouxFan100 Posted November 7 Posted November 7 Do we have a top three team in the summit? I don’t like being routed but Colorado was good Quote

SDSU looks really good, NDSU should be good, USD has had a couple home victories (over lower end D1 teams), UST will always be tough with Tauer, KC returns a lot. Idk the conference may not have that dominant team but it’s tough. I am fairly confident that Trey, King and Amar will be fine. Even Panoam I think will be fine. I need Woodson, Reggie and Mara to step up though. Quote
