That was so odd. The CC player broke his stick going for the empty net. A ASU player looked at the ref wondering where the penalty was, looked like there could have been one. Puck comes out of the pile along the half boards and no one to stop the CC player coast to the open net.

Assuming DU beats Lindenwood, the CO schools DU/CC are a combined 18-0 so far.
Dang.

Nice of them to save up to take all their Ls from UND.

DU literally skated circles around Lindenwood in the second period. Yet Lindenwood manages to tie the game when it finally got the puck out of its own end. Honestly DU was probably exhausted from all of their o-zone skating.

I had to rub my eyes because it was incredible to see: Including the end of last year, DU has won, get this, 18 consecutive games. 9 wins this year & 9 to close out last year. What a streak. That is the definition of a well-coached team.

Is anyone watching the ASU/CC game?
I see the shots are 38-18 ASU...is ASU really outplaying CC that much or are they just throwing everything on net from anywhere on the ice?

Mbereko is just that solid and they’re also missing Laba due to injury.

Whoa AIC going D2 (not sure what this exactly is) after the season…citing budgetary reasons.

Some school is going to land a great coach in Eric Lang next season.

They have 22 sports. With Hockey coasting them 1.8 million (rounded up) I can see why they moved back, but I wonder how much they brought in. I saw the roster limits being an issue, but they can opt-out. New rumor is more could follow.

I wonder if this is mostly being done for financial reasons, or if it could also be because they're finding it difficult to stay competitive with the more established programs. Or both. Perhaps this will trigger a domino effect with other fringe schools.

Maybe there's a Hunter Johannes type player UND could poach from their roster. Time for other schools to start circling the AIC corpse like vultures, looking for any good remains.
