ND-fan Posted February 4 Author Posted February 4 There is discussion on men’s basketball sight about extension for Paul Sather but nothing here about Mallory Berhard extension or even I should she continue as Head Basetball coach at UND. I don’t think rest of season record could result to lead to extension unless she would win Summit Conference make the NCAA tournament. The latter would be winning back to back lotteries. I wonder where are the UND faithful on this seems to be very quiet response. 1 Quote

In my opinion, no matter what, unless they both win the conference tournament and make March Madness. The sample size is too large (and poor) for both of them. We’ve seen what type of coaches they are. The way I see it, any coach not named Eric Schmidt needs to go (I am talking about the high-profile sports, not track and field, soccer or tennis). Quote
UND92,96 Posted February 4 Posted February 4 Mallory probably should go back to coaching high school ball in Iowa. She did well there. UND should hire somebody like Emilee Thiesse from MSU-Mankato. UND would be back to being a consistent women's basketball power quickly in my opinion. 1 Quote

Looks like Thiesse makes $157k. Quote

NewUndFan Posted February 6 Posted February 6 I think Mal looks at the forum. Took my suggestion to play Demers and Ibrahim at the same time. Hope I gave her good advice ! Quote
SiouxFan100 Posted February 6 Posted February 6 Tied after 1st qtr trying to be happy but we have six stupid/ lazy turnovers stupid Quote
TeedUppp Posted February 6 Posted February 6 Walker lookin great inside so far. Keep it goin! 1 Quote
sioux24/7 Posted February 6 Posted February 6 Why the hell do they travel so much? Also, why not put Jocie back in there for the last 21 seconds so she can help get a good look? Don’t think we took enough of an advantage of SDSU’s poor half. 1 Quote
TeedUppp Posted February 6 Posted February 6 Offense is having another tough time getting any consistent pressure- which is leading to the dumb turnovers. At least we are up at the half- Jocie is doing her thing! 1 Quote
SiouxFan100 Posted February 6 Posted February 6 Can’t imagine sdsu will ever play that bad again. held them to a ridiculous twenty first half points might have poked the bear Quote
sioux24/7 Posted February 6 Posted February 6 Not sure if I have said this here but I feel like this team is close. Needs to start finishing games off but they’re not far off. Probably need some better coaching. Quote
NewUndFan Posted February 6 Posted February 6 They are close only because they hired Hutter. I have seen things from this year that I've never seen the previous years with Mal. Better rotations. Making adjustments. Better offense. Looking at scouting reports and making adjustments. Like tonight how they double downing on sdsu big. Mal never did any of this before. Not a coincidence it's happening this year after the hire. 2 Quote
SiouxFan100 Posted February 6 Posted February 6 We have one assist four minutes into the 3rd qtr Quote
Hans8891 Posted February 6 Posted February 6 Second half we are back to dribble fest again. Wasn’t sure we were going to score more than 3 in the third quarter until 2 minutes left. Now at 19 turnovers with a quarter to go. Can’t win games that way but when your entire offense is dribbling continually you get what you deserve. We were fortunate state couldn’t hit the broad side of a barn the first half or we would have been buried a long time ago. They were shooting 20 percent to our 50 percent and we were still only up 8 at half. Someone is wide open continually with our defense. Quote
SiouxFan100 Posted February 6 Posted February 6 We have one assist and 25 turnovers do the math Quote

gfhockey Posted February 6 Posted February 6 Mal has no respect from summit teams sdsu playing starters against our non starters. Quote
