sioux24/7 Posted January 25 Posted January 25 Why the hell was Hurst put in there? She is such a liability. 3 Quote
Popular Post NewUndFan Posted January 25 Popular Post Posted January 25 5 seconds. Down 2 and coach puts a player that has hardly played all year to inbound the ball and she throws it away. MAL NEEDS TO BE GONE! experiment over !! 5 Quote
Oxbow6 Posted January 25 Posted January 25 Everyone in the building knoew the ball was going to go to Schiller. Inbound it to someone else to get it in play then rub Schiller off the ball to get a shot. 3 Quote
ND-fan Posted January 25 Author Posted January 25 Mallory did it again what is it with Her love with Hurst the players we had on the floor was we’re going to win with. Hurst has been?en liability for us last two seasons. 1 Quote

She's a treat to watch play in person. She is far too talented to play for a coach that can't coach. Biggest take away.....Schiller was the 2nd best player on the floor. UND's best by a mile. The offense UND run plays away from almost all her strengths. She worked way too hard to get 20 and isn't able to create for anyone in this offense. Put her on NDSU with that offense they run and she would average a double double 1 Quote
SiouxFan100 Posted January 25 Posted January 25 Hopefully we didn’t leave a timeout unused at the end Quote
NDPROUD Posted January 25 Posted January 25 Mal should have played Ibrahim and Demers together in the 4th. SU had length on us and our bigs had fouls to spare...each one had something to contribute...play them. Ibrahim rebounding, Demers screening and boxing out. Otherwise, the refs helped the Bison win this one. 3 Quote
NDRoots4Life Posted January 25 Posted January 25 100% on Hurst and Mal. Not Schiller's fault. Tough way to end the game. Quote

NewUndFan Posted January 25 Posted January 25 But Hurst didn't even look like she knew what to do. She has been a liability since she got here. Mal just needs to be done. We have some really good pieces to build off of. I'm afraid the Mayville coach just got Mal a extension. Quote

ND-fan Posted January 25 Author Posted January 25 I don’t know how everyone else feels but this was game we should have won making it the third game I think we could have won but again got out coached in the game especially at the end. The ORU and Omaha games we should have won I feel too. We’re now at 3 and 4 in the conference will be lucky finish 5 in the conference. Dom was talking the young team they had on the floor but we were just as young on the floor also. They had one senior always on the floor and at least 3 sophomores that have played big minutes in past two years. They had one freshman Frost with other two freshmen playing some minutes. But down the stretch they had two seniors and two sophomores and one freshmen. We ar the end had one junior, two sophomores, and two freshmen at the end of the game. Except when they brought junior in and we know what happened. This team has played better fundamentally now in last six games than they have played in past two seasons but I wonder what level could we be at with these players if they would have had better coaching. Since Jory has coached at SU that has been what he has improved recruiting players coaching them up on fundamentals and building them up physically. Look at Draper how she has improved since coming to SU from Bradley. This hasn’t happened here at UND until we have seen some signs this year. We need need for administration to evaluate coaching in all our sports there has to be some accountability on job performance. Quote

I pretty much know what SU game plan will be to take advantage of their length and try to get open looks at three. They will try to out rebound us on offensive side and get us in foul trouble on inside. Und has choice of man to man pressure defense or go to match up zone force SU into trying to beat them with three where they have been his season. I think they may change up on defense depending what is having best results and to protect them from getting in foul trouble. Offensively we will need to have good afternoon from outside and then be able to push them on transition where I believe they could be vulnerable if we do it smartly. The other question will SU pressure us full court to create turnovers and trap our smaller players. We will need big games out of Demers and Ibrahim on inside and then will be if Schiller and Aumer will be able to score with length that SU will have against them. I think we will have difficult time winning Jory has gad our number and hasn’t lost to us at home. I also worry our turnover problems will return especially in hostile gym if things start going wrong. Good effort but 19 turnovers and just 3 assists. Quote

UND is a bad BB team Demers is a defensive liability Can't run an offensive every set from 20' out Schiller looks frustrated but she plays so hard I would have said that 5 - 6 weeks ago but they have really been up-trending since then. 100% improvement Optimistic for next season. I'd never have her throwing in the ball. Big mistake by coach. Have your best passer and if Hurst is open at the buzzer let her shoot. But Josie needed the ball Quote
ND-fan Posted January 26 Author Posted January 26 Better yet, Hurst played 5 minutes and had three turnovers and scored three points on three but missed her second attempt not even hitting the rim same as turnover. This had to be Mallory putting her in she hasn’t played any significant minutes in last few games. We have several other players that have length, quicker than her, shoot equally as well. 1 Quote
Hans8891 Posted January 26 Posted January 26 3 assists will tell you everything you need to know about our offense. Jossy works her tail off but she has to create everything in whatever it is that Mal calls an offense. We go from Kacie having to do everything to passing the baton to Jossy. Pemberton, Jossy , and Aumer did a nice job of scoring on the drive but had to do so one on 3 because of our lack of offense. On a positive note, Ibrahim was fantastic. 10 blocks in one game against a team with skilled bigs was incredible. She needs more minutes and will keep getting better. Quote

This....^^^ NDSU would be knocking on SDSU's door as the best team in the Summitt if Josie ran their offense. She's a wasted talent in UND's offense. Quote
