By far, our best half of the year:   turnover-wise (only 7),  shooting wise (over 50%, plus 7-17 on 3's), and rebounding-wise (23-12 edge).  Hope we can keep it up.

Something’s different and whatever sparked it, let’s keep it going. Seeing the ball movement and unselfish play is really enjoyable to watch. Let’s hope the Betty continues to fill up more every game!

Fun game to watch tonight! The girls played their hearts out. South Dakota is not very good this year but still a big win.  Win or lose I like watching a team give it all.  I still believe this is all our new assistant coach. They are getting more out of these players then the talent we have.  I hope they can recruit some players in the off season out of the portal

Great game by the girls tonight. They kept the turnovers down and used good ball movement on offense to create nice looking open shots.

Great TEAM win! They seem to be playing better as a team and the results showed.

There was a good crowd last night and the program needs more of that to be successful. I know winning goes hand in hand with a program's success, but I wish UND/Betty would do more to draw fans in. With a combined ND/EGF population of 68k, it should not be hard to fill the Betty. Atmosphere changes outcomes.

It was fun to watch the ND girls, their leadership and work ethic is exciting and contagious. I would hope UND does all it can to recruit talent here in it's home state. I realize that there is always that draw to play for a top school or winning program, but are we doing all we can to sway them? UND is already a top school academically. If only this basketball program could just turn the corner...the program will sell itself.

Yes, they are playing more as team now and I do think that Sutter has done a lot to improve their play. I have noticed even at timeouts he and other coaches are more in discussion with players giving information to the players. I think Mallory more into player rotation and working the referees recently during the game and has delegated some technical parts to her assistant. I will give her credit for this we are seeing improvement on our fundamentals and maybe we can crawl up in Summit standings and have chance to win few games in conference tournament. Still long way to go to reach that goal and see if we can continue improve.

Played SDSU and it was close down to last two minutes but two Myers took over down the stretch and Johnson timeout to set up the two players was difference. I thought we needed timeout to settle things and give rest to our players. We played better defense but still gave up to many points to have a chance to win against this team. We still need to also work on three point shooting when we’re tired need to get our legs set and relax on our follow throughs seem liked we were rushing our shot. This is best we have played SDSU since joining the Summit but we’re still long way to go before we can definitely beat them. They still have way more talent on team and have length and quickness far deeper than we have. We need to keep recruiting better like the last two years. This is progress for us and gives us hope for strong finish to the season.

The women have had a pretty solid January. They were within five with just over four minutes to go in the game against SDSU after getting down by twelve after one qtr.

Today’s game against  SDSU was a major victory for our women’s program. Great effort. Might even be fun to watch what happens this year.

Ndsu women had 25 turnovers in their loss to Kansas City today.

So proud of the girls today !  They stayed with a very good SDSU team that always gets a few calls at home. When they got down in the second half I thought here comes the blow out.  But no! They fought to the very end.  Got within 5. We don't have any seniors!  What we lack in talent and experience we make up for in heart.  Good games ladies keep improving!

I have to say that I was very impressed with the talent I saw for UND last night.  Pemberton, Schiller, Ibrahim, and Demers are a good nucleus of players to build a program from.  Horne adds some additional length to your starting five, but that release of hers is just not good!  Was hoping to get to see some minutes from Volmer.  All in all I was impressed by what I saw as you gave us enough fits to move us into a zone to change the flow.  Granted we stayed in it WAY too long and got stagnant on the offensive end because of it.

It’s super early but how much of the what looks to be the start of a turnaround should be credited to Hutter? I feel like he has made an immense impact early.
