Wilbur Posted September 25, 2023 Posted September 25, 2023 Who ya got? To me the European side is going to be incredibly tough to beat with Rahm, Rory, and Hovland all playing well. Thank bleeping God Ian Poulter isn't on Europe any more. It never matter how poorly he'd played leading up to the Ryder Cup he always found a way to play well in the competition. I'll say Europe wins 15 and 1/2 to 12 and 1/2. Quote

I saw a clip on Barstool of a ball being dropped down into the rough. It is a 80's Ron Jeremy shoot kind of thick. Quote
Oxbow6 Posted September 26, 2023 Posted September 26, 2023 JT and Rickie can't go Oh for the Cup. Quote

Really takes the huge hitters out of it if they can't go straight off the tee. Team USA better adapt better than they did in Paris. Quote
sioux rube Posted September 26, 2023 Posted September 26, 2023 It’s Europe’s year. 15-13. Definitely my favorite golf event. Prove me wrong Americans Quote
Wilbur Posted September 29, 2023 Author Posted September 29, 2023 USA got swept in the morning session. This is setting up to get really ugly if they can't scratch away 3 this afternoon. 4-0 Europe. Quote
Oxbow6 Posted September 29, 2023 Posted September 29, 2023 Zack Johnson has 2 years to prepare for this. Sits Brooks and Jordan in first session. This will be over by 200 am local time Sunday. Quote
petey23 Posted September 29, 2023 Posted September 29, 2023 Stayed up to watch the last group finish thjeir first hole this morning. As someone in the apparel business the first thing I noticed in the very first match was Sam Burns was wearing the wrong hat...bad juju from the start. Quote

Oxbow6 Posted September 29, 2023 Posted September 29, 2023 Sitting Brooks is like sitting me in favor of @Wilbur Just saying...... 1 Quote
The Sicatoka Posted September 29, 2023 Posted September 29, 2023 Now I need a photo of @Oxbow6 and @Wilbur decked out in full Payne Stewart (RIP) gear. Quote

tnt Posted September 29, 2023 Posted September 29, 2023 Embarrassing performance when they all spouted off how they needed to get off to a good start. Anyone notice how all the European’s were focused on cheering on their teammates on the last hole, while the Americans were sitting together but were on their cell phones. Quote
tnt Posted September 29, 2023 Posted September 29, 2023 The U.S. captains could have mustered a few points if they would have played because they could hit the fairway every once in a while. Quote
The Sicatoka Posted September 29, 2023 Posted September 29, 2023 Zero for sixty-four. https://www.cbssports.com/golf/news/2023-ryder-cup-results-scores-live-coverage-standings-scoring-teams-pairings-schedule-for-day-1/live/ 2-16-2. You could've sent me there for that level performance. (Haven't swung a club in five years but my SI joints no longer give me pain.) Quote
Oxbow6 Posted September 29, 2023 Posted September 29, 2023 Hovland and Rahm just need to come out to the first tee tomorrow in white wife beater tanks to rub it in just because they can!! Quote
Oxbow6 Posted September 30, 2023 Posted September 30, 2023 Everyone watching after Scottie and Brooksie got best raced 9&7 in the early session this morning...... Quote

Why take the weeks off after the FedEx Cup if you want to be in form for the Ryder Cup? Time to hurt their ego and make it North America or the America’s against Europe, even though you probably wouldn’t have automatic qualifiers from Canada or South America. Maybe they need some players that appreciate being in the competition, like Max Homa. Quote
Oxbow6 Posted September 30, 2023 Posted September 30, 2023 Spieth would have been the 3rd best player in our local group this morning. What a train wreck. 1 Quote
Walsh Hall Posted September 30, 2023 Posted September 30, 2023 https://datagolf.com/ryder-cup/strokes-gained Interesting look at shots gained/lost for the RC and each session. Homa was lights out that round, Thomas horrible… Quote
Oxbow6 Posted September 30, 2023 Posted September 30, 2023 If ZJ doesn't throw LaCava and Matty Ice out first tomorrow in singles it will be the biggest mojo fail in sports history Quote
SWSiouxMN Posted September 30, 2023 Posted September 30, 2023 Didn't they put a committee together to avoid nonsense like this? Quote
tnt Posted September 30, 2023 Posted September 30, 2023 I love how Europeans always whine about perceived disrespect, yet some of the treatment the U.S. players receive is no different over there, than what they get here. That may change in New York next time. Rory thinks it’s o.k. to do the hand to the ear at Hazeltine, but can’t handle a hat waving. Quote
