Blake Biondi out for the season. He came across as mature (maybe overconfident in his ability to make the NHL) in Hockeyland, sorry to see his career derailed after breaking out a bit last year.

Happen over the break?

UMD has played a lot of hockey the last few seasons. The wear totals up. Biondi might be a signal of what Duluth's slow start was.

A lot of hockey can give experience but also warn of the grind of a NHL career.

Really? The two teams that make the national championship game play four more games than the teams that don't make the tournament. Four.

So Major Junior players are twice as tough then?

Here's a guide to our rooting priorities, please correct me if wrong.

Priority 1 is wins by NCHC teams we play 4 times, then NCHC teams we play twice

2 is non-con opponents winning; Quinny has more to lose than HC has to gain, so QU>HC

3 is teams ranked 10-20 losing

4 Atlantic/CCHA don't have teams ranked ahead of us, so their conferences over the others. Hockey East losing is most important

5 is teams that have NCHC non-con games winning

6 if nothing else, lower ranked teams winning

6 games if a team goes through their conference tournament.

A couple good (for UND) losses tonight.

Anchorage beat UMass-Lowell.
Penn St beat RIT.

Still plenty of games ongoing with teams near UND in the PWR, but the results so far have moved UND to #19.

Quite the move up without even playing a game.

Trying to enjoy Omaha game.  Need to switch to another game.  The audio with modulation is, as always terrible.  Any ideas why the announcers sound so bad.

I've always thought that one Omaha announcer always sounds like his nose is incredibly stuffed up.  Annoys the heck out of me while listening to their broadcasts.  :D

I was just listening to that one complaining about non-calls in the overtime.  The other sounds like he is on speaker from a tunnel.
