When was the last time a 6'5 270 lb frosh became a 6'5" 310 beast by the time he was a jr/sr. Maybe my expectations are too high but I question our S/C development. Noah Mortel came in at like 260 and was above 300 when he started playing a lot. He went 255 ->290 -> 307.

I'm not drawing a comparison to Keaton's freshman season. I'm talking Keaton's ability to move in the pocket and throw overall. This kid played very well against a bad Sam Houston team in relief duty in one game. But, I expect as he plays more moving forward he will improve even more the way Keaton did. Tommy looked calm as can be and made a few nicely placed throws. It was not great but encouraging I'm comparing Keaton's and Tommy's style of play. Not the end result. Popular Post CMSioux
Scratching my head as everything I read coming up to this game was how improved SH was, how they brought in 23 new players (not freshmen), how they improved their lines - somebody drank the kool-aid because they got ranked right out of the chute. Then UND beats them again and all of our sudden they are a bad team and unlike other teams who make jumps into the top 25 after wins (and sometimes loses) UND still sits outside the top 25. Then we have to go on the road to EW where the odds are against us and almost every other FCS team - and if we lose all we will hear is "See UND isn't as good as their fans think." The poll system is whack and many of those "FCS experts" who make a living on the Internet are lazy about their research outside their region. 1

Damn that was a good team. I'd take that offense over most everyone we have on roster right now.
