FGHTNSX Hawkey14 Posted January 4, 2018 Posted January 4, 2018 Wow. The Swedes were trying to lose that in the last 10 minutes. Quote
cberkas Posted January 4, 2018 Posted January 4, 2018 They deserved to lose with how they played the 3rd. Quote
brianvf Posted January 4, 2018 Posted January 4, 2018 How many goals against Woll this tourney went high glove side? I'm guessing 3/4 of his goals against went high glove. Why keep playing a goaltender that has such a glaring weakness that opposing players have obviously keyed in on it? 1 Quote

He did the right thing by taking the shot. Disagree. He helped cause the bad spacing. He veers left, then snaps a pass to the shooter on the right, goal. 1 Quote

Or Bellows crosses to the other side for a backhand pass to an open net instead of running into the goalie. Quote

I didn’t think Woll or Oettinger were good choices with how they have been at BC and BU this year. Goaltending was going to be the weakness. The half ass backchecking cost this team the most. Quote

cberkas Posted January 4, 2018 Posted January 4, 2018 The Olympic team in Sochi didn’t think the Bronze was worth winning. Quote

No problem with the decision just seemed like the puck rolled on him a little and he didn't get as much on it as he wanted to. He has been the best player for the U.S. the entire tournament and is the guy I'd want to have the shot in that situation. Spacing wasn't very good to really move the puck on the opportunity either. Bottom line though you get a 3-on-0 chance against a good team and it has to end up in the net. Quote

That would be the problem, had to go with who was available for the position. 15 and 5 cost the US goal number 2 and Anderson coasting on his backcheck cost goal number 3. Quote
90siouxfan Posted January 5, 2018 Posted January 5, 2018 Not impressed with Mikey Anderson, lot of errors even I noticed. Quote

MafiaMan Posted January 5, 2018 Posted January 5, 2018 So Comtois gets 3 jabs in against Michnac and when the Czech finally has had enough and retaliates, the official standing five feet away immediately calls a penalty. Wow. Quote
MafiaMan Posted January 5, 2018 Posted January 5, 2018 And, of course, the TSN homers inmediately call it a "poor penalty" on the Czechs. Quote
MafiaMan Posted January 5, 2018 Posted January 5, 2018 Total BS penalty call and subsequent PP goal... Quote
MafiaMan Posted January 5, 2018 Posted January 5, 2018 And Canada gets "an unfortunate" high-sticking penalty! LOL! Quote
90siouxfan Posted January 5, 2018 Posted January 5, 2018 Did they not say anything about the Canadien goalie and his intermission "show" yet? Quote

Wilbur Posted January 5, 2018 Author Posted January 5, 2018 4-1 Canada and that'll do it for the Czechs. Quote
