Dustin Posted October 20, 2017 Posted October 20, 2017 Great crowd on hand! Girls looked good in warmups, so I’m ready for some high flying action! Quote
Dustin Posted October 20, 2017 Posted October 20, 2017 Lead by as many as 7, but had to settle for a 3 point set 1 win. Quote
Dustin Posted October 20, 2017 Posted October 20, 2017 Trailed most set 2, one time by 5, but clawed our way back to finally tie it at 20, then had some nerve wracking play until we prevailed 27-25. Quote
Nodaker Posted October 20, 2017 Posted October 20, 2017 Nice gut check in the 2nd. Hard fought comeback. Fun to watch! Quote
Dustin Posted October 20, 2017 Posted October 20, 2017 defense came alive in the third set, and we cruise 25-16. 1 Quote
SiouxVolley Posted October 20, 2017 Author Posted October 20, 2017 Almost 2000 on hand for the match. That's good as Saturday mornings don't get very good turnouts like for EWU coming up. Sac St leading at Idaho 1-0 and also leading in the second set. We need Sac St to lose 3 BSC matches for us to host as Sac hasn't lost one yet. This is needs to happen for any chance of hosting. Realistically, the best we can hope for is to win the north and get the #2. With either Portland or Idaho as they likely #3 in that scenario. Quote
SWSiouxMN Posted October 20, 2017 Posted October 20, 2017 If they get the rematch against Sac, I don't care if it is in their barn. They will get the job done 2 Quote

If they win at Sac St, they won't have a home game again. Sac St swept Idaho at Idaho. So Sac St moves to 9-0, and UND, PSU and Idaho are at 7-2. Quote
Dustin Posted October 20, 2017 Posted October 20, 2017 Last night was the first game of 4 for Sac on the road, and they close with 6 of 8 on the road, so maybe there's some road woes upcoming for them. It would be so fun to host again. Last night's crowd at Betty was the best I've seen for a regular season Big Sky game. Quote
Oxbow6 Posted October 21, 2017 Posted October 21, 2017 Poor crowd for a big UND athletic weekend Quote

Dustin Posted October 21, 2017 Posted October 21, 2017 Closer than I would have expected, but we win set 1 25-21. Quote

Dustin Posted October 21, 2017 Posted October 21, 2017 Lead by about 10 at one point (21-11, maybe), but WSU took it down to the wire. 25-21 set 2. Quote
