NoiseInsideMyHead Posted March 10, 2017 Posted March 10, 2017 The North Dakota Legislature appears likely to be sending to the Governor a bill permitting cities to install parking meters. How does the thought of having to pay to park affect your downtown dining options? Assume for the sake of argument that the meters will be active 7 days a week, and during lunch and dinner hours, and will take credit cards/pay by phone, and that the app is easily downloaded and user-friendly. SIOUXFAN97 Posted March 11, 2017 Posted March 11, 2017 meters are stupid...any bill authorizing those sob's should be lit on fire. Quote
WiSioux Posted March 11, 2017 Posted March 11, 2017 When I first arrived in Grand Forks I remember calling back home and telling them amazed that parking downtown was free. I had never seen free parking downtown before. Quote
sioux rube Posted March 11, 2017 Posted March 11, 2017 People whining about parking meters. LOL Quote
fightingsioux4life Posted March 11, 2017 Posted March 11, 2017 I will never put a dime of my money into one of those things. I will treat parking meters as No Parking signs. I think it will get referred to the voters anyway. 2 Quote
Cratter Posted March 11, 2017 Posted March 11, 2017 If it means more open convenient spots because someone wants to save a buck, I'd take it. 3 Quote
