By taking a point tonight against Duluth, Denver widened their lead in the standings and, as such, CC might have contributed to their own demise. CC matches up much better against Duluth in the first round than they would against Denver.

There is no rule that says "luck" has to turn at some point.

The law of averages or the Central Limit Theorem will always find its way. ;)

Maybe it already did...with Schmaltz's goal against DU last March?

I do believe that was a maxima, yes.
The question is if this minima is due to that, or is the natural following minima because the Schmaltz maxima was the answer to the prior minima.

Either way, this is a minima. It will get better sooner or later.

With the possibility of "later" meaning the 2017-2018 season.

Don't look now but CC just tied the #1 team in the nation!

They beat and tied them already on the road.   CC is not the CC of last year.

UND continues to poop its collective pants...while Minnesota is crapping out rainbows seemingly every weekend.

I'm still not high on this team. I'm glad they're finally winning games but Schierhorn's jekyll and hyde performances aren't good enough to get it done in the NCAA tournament. He gives up a lot of soft goals.

Wade Murphy signed with the Manchester Monarchs in the ECHL.

So he's leaving early or after the season?

If he signed, he's gone.  You can't sign now and leave later.

Well he must not like staying in one place for very long!

Their season has been done for the most part since they played Western Michigan. ASU plays the U18 team this weekend.

ASU's season is done after this weekend.  They only have two remaining scheduled games against the U18 team...
The rest of the team can hit the golf course a month earlier than the rest of the NCAA.  :)

I think CC has a chance at making a deep run in the National Tournament. Peter Sejna, Mark Stewart, Brett Sterling, Brian Swanson, Marty Sertich, Matt Zaba, and the Schwartz brothers are rumored to be coming back!
