sioux rube Posted December 27, 2015 Posted December 27, 2015 One big turd the Wild took last night. Phooey. Quote
sioux rube Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 Wild needed that win tonight over the Wings big time. Now they go on a 4 game road trip. 1 Quote
siouxforcefans Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 They held the zone really well in the 3rd before that power play goal. You just kind of expected they were going to get rewarded eventually. Quote
Oxbow6 Posted January 1, 2016 Posted January 1, 2016 Good road win vs. Blues without #11. Dubs with 33 saves. Quote

sioux rube Posted January 6, 2016 Posted January 6, 2016 Parise with the hatty tonight as the Wild beat Columbus 4-2 and go 2-1-1 on the 4 game road trip. I will take it. 1 Quote
siouxforcefans Posted January 6, 2016 Posted January 6, 2016 The hat trick was sweet, but when they made it close, and Granlund scored 1.6 seconds after the Columbus goal - I don't care that it was an empty net, that was still awesome! http://www.sbnation.com/nhl/2016/1/5/10721092/mikael-granlund-scored-empty-net-goal-off-faceoff-like-a-boss 1 Quote
sioux rube Posted January 8, 2016 Posted January 8, 2016 I'm rooting for Hakstol except when they play the Wild. Tonight his Flyers win in overtime at the X 4-3 and the Wild move to 1-7 in overtime during 3 on 3. Quote
bigskyvikes Posted January 8, 2016 Posted January 8, 2016 Pretty cool seeing on TV last night every time they showed Hak on the bench there was Sioux jersey's in the back ground! Sweet! I'm a Wild fan first, but its nice to see Haks great record at the X continue to be impressive. Quote
Oxbow6 Posted February 5, 2016 Posted February 5, 2016 Wild lose to NYR..........mark it down: Yeo will get the ax on 2/12. Quote
siouxforcefans Posted February 5, 2016 Posted February 5, 2016 It's been rough lately - first period lead, then come out flat as the RRV in the second. Yeo may very well be feeling the heat! Quote
Oxbow6 Posted February 7, 2016 Posted February 7, 2016 Trying to grasp how Suter gets paid what he does.........borderline criminal. Quote

Yeo was given the "Vote of Confidence" by Fletcher today. He was laughing and said no, no, no when a reporter asked him if there was any chance of a coaching change. Wild have issues everywhere: coaching, offense, defense, youth, and yes goalie. No help from their farm team either. Personal Opinion: No playoffs = blow it up. 2 Quote

Fire Yeo (albeit, not all his fault), get a new coach, and blow this team up in 4 weeks if it doesn't change. This losing/non-winning streak is getting ridiculous from a team expected to surely make the playoffs and maybe even contend. I dare say Philly, who was expected to be in the lower 1/5 of the NHL's teams and not make the playoffs, has gotta have near the same record as Minn now (more with less). Hmm..... Quote

Oxbow6 Posted February 7, 2016 Posted February 7, 2016 The Mild have DAL (2/9) and WAS (2/11) at home next week. When they lose those 2 they will be 1-11-1 over their last 14 games. As I mentioned above the ax drops on Yeo on 2/12. Total team collapse. Suter in not only the most over paided NHLer but in all of professional team sports IMO. Minimal leadership from the bench or from the players. Yeo's "structure" is limiting the skill of Dumba, Granlund, and Zucker just to name a few. Dubs has not been as bad as some are claiming over this stretch. 3 PPG for the Blues last night. Wild have scored 17 goals in last 11 games. Painful to watch. 1 Quote

It was a good deal for the best catcher in baseball when it was signed. They expected him to play catcher at least until he was 33 or so. That would have resulted in only 1 or 2 seasons overpaying an average 1st basemen and 6 or 7 years of paying a fair value for a guy who would be a hall of famer if he was able to stay at catcher for a couple more seasons. Instead an unforeseeable concussion problem forced him to change positions 4 or 5 seasons earlier than planned. For some reason it seems Twins fans hated the contract from the beginning and if you did, then you are an idiot. Quote

I've always said that the same people complaining about Mauer getting the contract would be the same people complaining if Mauer went elsewhere and people saying: See, the Twins don't want to spend $$$ to win! 2 Quote

Again nobody comes close to Joe. 23 mil a year for a slap singles hitter playing first base. Puke. Oh and I thought his contract was ridiculous when he signed it. Way to many years. Quote
