Good road win vs. Blues without #11. Dubs with 33 saves.

2 defensive oriented teams that went at it pretty good. Huge 2 points to start their 4 game road trip.

Pretty cool seeing on TV last night every time they showed Hak on the bench there was Sioux jersey's in the back ground! Sweet!

I'm a Wild fan first, but its nice to see Haks great record at the X continue to be impressive.

Trying to grasp how Suter gets paid what he does.........borderline criminal.

Yeo was given the "Vote of Confidence" by Fletcher today.  He was laughing and said no, no, no when a reporter asked him if there was any chance of a coaching change.

Wild have issues everywhere: coaching, offense, defense, youth, and yes goalie. No help from their farm team either.

Personal Opinion:  No playoffs = blow it up.

Another bad loss tonight, 4-1 to the Blues.  Fire Yeo (albeit, not all his fault), get a new coach, and blow this team up in 4 weeks if it doesn't change.  This losing/non-winning streak is getting ridiculous from a team expected to surely make the playoffs and maybe even contend.  I dare say Philly, who was expected to be in the lower 1/5 of the NHL's teams and not make the playoffs, has gotta have near the same record as Minn now (more with less).  Hmm.....

The Mild have DAL (2/9) and WAS (2/11) at home next week. When they lose those 2 they will be 1-11-1 over their last 14 games. As I mentioned above the ax drops on Yeo on 2/12.

Total team collapse. Suter in not only the most over paided NHLer but in all of professional team sports IMO. Minimal leadership from the bench or from the players. Yeo's "structure" is limiting the skill of  Dumba, Granlund, and Zucker just to name a few. Dubs has not been as bad as some are claiming over this stretch. 3 PPG for the Blues last night. Wild have scored 17 goals in last 11 games. Painful to watch.

Suter has nothing on Mauer as being overpaid.

The Mauer contract should never have been bad. It was a good deal for the best catcher in baseball when it was signed. They expected him to play catcher at least until he was 33 or so. That would have resulted in only 1 or 2 seasons overpaying an average 1st basemen and 6 or 7 years of paying a fair value for a guy who would be a hall of famer if he was able to stay at catcher for a couple more seasons. Instead an unforeseeable concussion problem forced him to change positions 4 or 5 seasons earlier than planned. For some reason it seems Twins fans hated the contract from the beginning and if you did, then you are an idiot.

I've always said that the same people complaining about Mauer getting the contract would be the same people complaining if Mauer went elsewhere and people saying: See, the Twins don't want to spend $$$ to win!

Again nobody comes close to Joe. 23 mil a year for a slap singles hitter playing first base. Puke.

Oh and I thought his contract was ridiculous when he signed it. Way to many years.
