So a guy I know works with an old equipment guy and he his driving around Fargo with a UND helmet Decal on his vehicle.

This Dude washed Jock Straps and drives around thinking he is something. I remember Dallas Kopp telling guys if you want a Decal on your vehicle you have to earn it. He doesn't hand them out. This dude stole a bunch probably and thinks its no big deal. He thinks he's cool he's not.

This is ridiculous. It used to be an honor to take your Decals off your helmet and put them on your vehicle after you had finished your redshirt year. It meant you had made it. It meant you EARNED IT.  I talked to my buddy he said the dude is a pathetic loser don't worry about it. but it is Bullcrap. Taking credit for something you didn't earn is pathetic just had to say it.

Also I work out and run into guys. If you played 5 minutes for a UND you didn't really play, if you walked on and got cut, if you played a few games got cut you didn't really play if you washed jock straps you didn't really play so BE A MAN and acknowledge that you suck at life and don't tell me who was there for 5 years your sob story you suck move on. Its a tough world kid.

Just Saying.

Does anyone else know about this kind of bull. It may be time to send some redshirts to ReClaim that Decal.

Dallas Kopp wouldn't stand for this.

OK, so how did he offend you?  This really isn't the place for a therapy session.

This certainly says a lot about you as a person though.

You are that bent out of shape about a guy putting a decal on his car?

For all you know, the guy's work was appreciated and he was given a decal.

Well, your heart's in the right place but....

It's a little too "Brit McHenryish" for me...

How the hell is his heart in the right place?  He is clearly bitter about something why else would you make this your first post ever on the message board?

He's saying how much the decal and sticker mean to him...

How he went about it was less than tactful.

A player gave me a helmet sticker sophomore year, and I unfortunately lost it (darn you 19 year old Eric). I wish I still had it for the tailgating vehicle I'm putting together.

I suppose all of you commenting are from the school.

If I wouldn't have gotten injured in 8th Grade Football I would have been an All American at UND. HA

Equipment guys get Paid. Right? Right? Go cry to someone else. Save your Tears for me I get thirsty playing.

As far as I am concerned, the more UND decals, bumper stickers, flags, license plate covers, etc. across this state and region the better.  This isn't some stolen valor-like thing, like posing as a Soldier or a Medal of Honor winner.

Listen up, I think you have an inflated sense of how good you were or you wouldn't be on here.  Good players don't talk about themselves or what they did for the program.  Others do it for them.

If you played lately, you are part of the reason why Bubba was hired.  Keep that in mind when you are ripping other people and pumping your own tires.

I want this program to get back to prominence as much as anyone but lets all keep a level head and worry about things that matter.

Siouxperman2015,

The further away you get from playing the more you will realize being a former player becomes more than just your playing time.  I played and was angry on, and off the field.  I had to step away after playing because of the emotions I had.  I am assuming your anger/passion just needs to be channeled in a more constructive way.  I love having guys with your passion supporting the team, but try to be more inclusive.  If you know you were a major on the field contributor, that's all you need to know.  I don't fault guys that had all the passion but didn't have the talent, or the supporters that didn't play.  I'd love to see more UND signage and stickers floating around.

Well put.

It's a helmet decal, and I am pretty sure I gave one of mine to a roommate that ran track.   To act like the equipment guy wasn't part of the program and doesn't deserve to represent UND football is foolish.  That is way I think this is about more then just a helmet decal.

The walk-on guys who ran/run the scout team and either got cut or didnt play much on gamedays are the type of guys who deserve the decal.  These are the guys who do it for free, and for their love of the program, UND, and the game.

In the end, some of these guys end up being the most loyal supports and donors to the program after successful careers in their chosen profession.

I always tried to stay close to the equipment guys. They help hold the place together. I say good for him if he has a decal.

I broke my leg one year and missed spring ball. I put a helmet sticker on my cast and got my arse chewed by one of the assistant coaches but he didn't tell me to remove it.

siouxperman2015, I think you are the only one crying here, per your first ever post.   So why the issue with the equipment guy?

This has to be the saddest thread I have ever seen on SiouxSports.  I can't believe you actually called the guy out by name and posted a picture of him for having a decal on his car??? This is a text book example of cyber bullying.  I hope the mods lock this thread or erase it, it has no place here.

Think you got it wrong.  The picture was of Dallas Kopp, the equipment manager who just retired.  He was saying that Dallas would never have let this happen.

But yes, it is a sad and pathetic thread.
