I wasn't able to find it since I'm not paying for SiriusXM. A poster on USCHO fan forum said David Pagnotta is working with Oklahoma State University to move the club team to NCAA D1 and has one high-level donor already. The show on the NHL Radio Network that it was brough up is The Hot Stove on 11/2.

I hate so much that an FPHL team is the primary hockey tenant.  The quality of that league is so far below the NCAA it's a joke.  Yet an expansion team from that league is apparently more viable than a Georgia team at the NCAA level.  The best thing that league has to offer is a larger quantity of home games.  Everyone involved with college hockey who wants to see growth should be pushing for additional games to be added to the NCAA schedule - it would both make investment in new programs/arenas more feasible, and it would help existing programs a ton because additional revenue would help offset relatively high operating costs.  Given how much the NCAA and the "amateurism" model has shifted, there should be zero resistance to this, and as we've seen with the Ivy League, not all programs would have to play additional games if they wouldn't want to.

Alaska Fairbanks master plan was amended to include a new on campus hockey arena that seats 3,000.  News broke first right here at Siouxsports.com https://go.boarddocs.com/ak/alaska/Board.nsf/files/DA537Y058DAB/$file/UAF_2024_CMP_Amendment-final.pdf

UAA and UAF both are in the process of developing new on campus arenas that seat 3,000.https://go.boarddocs.com/ak/alaska/Board.nsf/goto?open&id=D9XPT5661C3C

Robert Morris was also awarded 7 million recently by the state for the 2500 seat on campus arena that they are pursuing.

Wish Minot State could make the jump or U-Mary or both for that matter.  WHL isn't very far north.

The skill level at ACHA is not even close to NCAA but the schools I mention could be attractive to a post-WHLer with no contract.
