bcblues Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 4-3 now. Could this team blow a 3 goal lead in the third period in their own rink? 4800 posts. You should know the answer. Quote
Wilbur Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 Why Zane? CC doesn't have a player in the zone? Quote
Godsmack Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 That was one of the best periods of hockey I've seen them play in a long time! This is not the same team I saw in Vancouver last Friday! I oughta keep my big mouth shut... Quote
Wilbur Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 4800 posts. You should know the answer. I wish I did. You aren't far behind. Do you? Quote
bcblues Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 I wish I did. You aren't far behind. Do you? He, this is HOCKEY. we score 3 in the 2nd, they can certainly score 3 in the 3rd. That's hockey. We have not been very consistent (except for splits) the last few years. So anything can (and does) happen. Hak typically prepares the team for a strong second half of the season. CC is not very strong this year. We should be rolling them. Oh well. Buckle down and play good, sound, basic hockey and we will likely be fine. Otherwise..... 1 Quote
Sodbuster Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 4-1 lead is prosperity....UND can't stand it. Have they had a 3 goal lead in the third this year? Quote
bcblues Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 That looked like more than a 2 to me, from the replay. Quote
Wilbur Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 That has to be a five.....has to be...... Waiting for the call coming back from commercial break. And its a 5. Quote
Lgbnaf Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 All right boys now piss this 5 minute power play away like usual Quote
Sodbuster Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 Now I hope they're not totally passive on this power play. Quote
Wilbur Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 Interested to see the approach from UND here....Can't let them cherry pick one. Have to watch F1 leaving the zone. Quote
Wilbur Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 Way to get pucks to the net fellas. Deep breath..... Quote
bcblues Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 And now we return you to our previous PP moment..... Gotta love majors (when they are not on us). Quote
bcblues Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 Deep breath. They pulled it off. Actually, they looked pretty good, save the lapse of concentration in the 3rd. Then again, CC is not very strong this year...... We will take the points and prepare for tomorrow night. Quote
Wilbur Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 5-3 win for UND. This team never makes it easy on my heart. But that makes 6 wins in a row for the fellas. Some thoughts: ~Wouldn't be surprised to see Clark tomorrow, but do you stick with the guy thats won six in a row? ~CC at the end of the second and third didn't help themselves at all. Ouch. ~Liked the line combos. The junior group had a good game. Mark looks less hurt. ~I wish Stecher could just play the whole time. They need to work on his conditioning so he never leaves the ice. Each game is huge from here down the line. Get a sweep tomorrow fellas. PS: Miami is in last place in the league.....hmmm..... Quote
Godsmack Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 I tried to listen to the radio broadcast on the fox tonight and they were just playing music. Did they change stations? Quote
choyt3 Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 I tried to listen to the radio broadcast on the fox tonight and they were just playing music. Did they change stations? On 100.3 in Grand Forks. Not sure if that streams. Quote
Irish Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 It's hard to complain after a win, but here it is - I don't care which goalie has a bigger upside or who has more talent - I would sit Gothberg until he can concentrate for 60 minutes. This is getting old Is there any team in the country that has a worse looking power play than us? For heavens sake, the Green Wave can pass it around and get a bang bang play every once in a while. With all of the draft choices we have there is no excuse for looking like that out on the ice. Would it be asking too much to play 60 minutes of hockey? We stood around for the start of the third and it cost us. Remember, our goal is to win a natty, not eek out a victory against the worst team in the league. This lack of effort is getting old. Quote
